Navy Completes Three-Peat at Patriot League Women’s Golf Championship, Tang Claims Second-Straight Individual Title

Navy Becomes Second Team in League History to Win Three-Straight Titles, Emma Tang Becomes Second Patriot League Golfer to Earn Back-to-Back Individual Crowns

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Led by junior Emma Tang claiming back-to-back individual championships, Navy pulled off the three-peat and captured the program's third consecutive league title in a windy and rain-soaked final round Sunday at the 2026 Patriot League Women's Golf Championship in Annapolis, Md.

Playing on their par-72, 6,084-yard home course at U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club, the Midshipmen carded a team score of 14-over-par 302 in Sunday's final round. This propelled Navy to a three-round score of 32-over-par 896 (298-296-302) that saw the Mids protect their two-round lead and finish 11 strokes ahead of second-place Bucknell. The 302 Sunday score marked the Mids' 10th-best round of the season.

"We are so proud of this team," said head coach Kylee Baker. "Every single player performed and earned this win! We truly appreciate all the support from our family and friends for being there to support. I couldn't ask for a better group to do this with."

With the championship secured, Mids became the second team in Patriot League women's golf history to three-peat, joining Richmond (2016-2018).

Entering the day atop the leaderboard, Tang shot a 2-over par 74 in the final round to finish at 4-over par 220 (75-71-74), maintaining her position to pick up the Patriot League individual medal for a second-straight year. Tang joins Boston University's Adela Cejnarova (2015-17) as the only student-athletes to repeat as a Patriot League women's golf individual champion.

Putting together her third-straight impressive round, sophomore Vivian Cressman tallied a 3-over par 75 over the final 18 holes to notch a weekend score of 7-over par 223 (74-74-75), tying her for tournament runner-up with Bucknell's Paige Richter.

Taking sixth place to aid the Mids' efforts, senior captain Hallie Brisco registered a 6-over par 78 on Sunday to close out the championship at 14-over par 230 (77-75-78).

Carding a 6-over par 78 on the day, junior Keira Howard wrapped up a tournament score of 15-over par 231 (73-80-78) to tie for seventh with Boston's Amy Han.

The fifth Navy golfer to finish in the top-10, senior Sue Lee marched up the leaderboard with a 4-over par 76 in the final round, tying for ninth place with Lehigh's Yuki Zhu and Alana Hall at 17-over par 233 (81-76-76).

Rounding out the lineup, sophomore Megan Kirkpatrick bounced back with a 5-over par 77 in Sunday's action, ending with an 18-over par 234 (76-81-77) that placed her 12th alongside Lehigh's Stefania Fedun.

With their top-6 finishes, Tang, Cressman and Brisco all earned a spot on the Patriot League All-Championship Team, joined by Richter and her Bucknell teammates Nicole Yun and Sophia Bardunias.

Navy will now head to NCAA Regional play on May 11-13 at one of six regional sites. The Mids find out their regional destination on Wednesday, April 29 when the NCAA Women's Selection Show airs at 5 p.m. on the GOLF Channel.
