FROSTBURG, Md. – The Navy women's rugby team concluded its regular season at the Frostburg 7s tournament with a 1-2 record. The Midshipmen are now 11-4 this 7s season, tying the program record for wins set last year.
"It was a good day of rugby here in Frostburg," head coach
Murph McCarthy said. "We saw some real good things from the whole team today that we can take with us moving forward."

Navy 22, West Chester 14
West Chester controlled the first half with a pair of tries, entering the break with a 14-5 lead.
Natalie Peugeot provided Navy's lone first-half highlight in the fourth minute, marking her first score of the spring.
Navy quickly overcame the nine-point deficit by scoring three unanswered tries in the second half.
Fiona Morgan recorded her first try of the 7s season in the 10th minute.
Analise Murphy followed with her first spring try and a successful conversion to give Navy a 17-14 advantage.
Keira Cole sealed the comeback victory with a try in the final minute.
Mount St. Mary's 26, Navy 19
Mount St. Mary's struck in the opening minute with a try and a conversion to take an early 7-0 lead.
Phoebe Soberano answered with her first try of the day to pull Navy within two points.
Each team added a try in the final minute of the half. Peugeot scored her second try of the day, followed by a Murphy conversion, to tie the game at 12 at halftime. The Mountaineers regained control with two tries in the first three minutes of the second half to build a commanding 26-12 lead. Team captain

Adrian 24, Navy 15
Navy dropped its second-straight game as Adrian used a buzzer-beating try to take a 12-5 halftime lead.
May Conlin was the Mids' lone first-half scorer.
The Bulldogs added two second-half tries to pad their lead. Despite late offensive efforts from Navy, including a try by Soberano and Morgan, Adrian maintained its advantage to secure the nine-point win.
