ANNAPOLIS, Md. – A pair of surging teams will meet on with a star on the line this weekend, as the Navy women's tennis team (16-5, 2-1 PL) will host rival Army (20-4, 5-0 PL) at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the 2026 Star Match at the Fluegel-Moore Tennis Stadium.
Part of the 2025-26 Army-Navy Star Series presented by USAA, Navy and Army both enter Saturday on hot streaks with the Black Knights riding a six-match winning streak and the Midshipmen winning 12 of their last 14 contests. The rivals also are among the top squads in the Patriot League, as Army leads the Patriot League standings with a 5-0 league mark while Navy is tied for third with a 2-1 league record, with both teams having two league matches remaining after Saturday's tilt.
Army-Navy Star Series Update
Despite Army winning the baseball star last weekend, Navy has clinched the all-sport 2025-26 Star Series presented by USAA with a 13-6-1 lead … After Army took a 4-2-1 lead early in the fall, Navy ripped off nine-straight Star victories before the Black Knights took the wrestling star a day before the Navy basketball sweep … A trio of close games saw Army take the opener and finale of the three-game baseball star series … The remaining stars up for grabs are men's and women's outdoor track & field, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse and men's tennis … Navy's overall record against Army this season is 16-8-1.
