ANNAPOLIS, Md. – For the first time since 2013, the Navy women's lacrosse team is set to host NCAA Tournament first and second round games at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. The Midshipmen earned the No. 6 seed for the NCAA Tournament, marking the highest seed in program history.
Navy (18-1) will host UMass (16-2), the MAC champion, on Friday at 3:00 p.m. in the NCAA First Round. Syracuse (13-5) will face Loyola (12-7) Friday at 7:00 p.m. Syracuse and Loyola received at-large berths.
The winners from Friday's games will meet on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in the NCAA Second Round.
Tickets for the NCAA Tournament games in Annapolis are $15 for adults and $10 for youth and seniors. Parking at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium is $11 (credit card only – fees included).
Each game will be broadcast on ESPN+ with an audio only broadcast for Navy games on WNAV. Live stats will also be available for each game.
Navy enters the NCAA Tournament with an 18-1 overall record. The Midshipmen earned the No. 1 seed in the Patriot League Tournament to earn hosting duties for the first time since 2013. The Mids defeated Bucknell (W, 18-8) in the semifinal and #13 Army (W, 17-11) in the championship to give Navy its eighth Patriot League title in program history and secure a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
This will be the Mids ninth appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Navy advanced to the NCAA Tournament in 2010, '11, '12, '13, '17, '18, '19, and '25. The Midshipmen last hosted the NCAA Tournament opening rounds in 2013 as the Mids earned the No. 8 seed.
