Naval Academy Athletic Association and USAA Extend Historic Partnership

USAA Named Anchor Partner of Navy Athletics; Expanded Partnership Includes Jersey Patches across 30 Varsity Sports Beginning in 2026-27

ANNAPOLIS, Md.—The Naval Academy Athletic Association (NAAA) and USAA have extended their historic partnership for an additional 10 years, continuing a longstanding relationship built on shared values of service, leadership and commitment to those who serve.

As part of the expanded partnership, USAA has been named the Anchor Partner of Navy Athletics, the highest level of corporate partnership within the Naval Academy Athletic Association.

Beginning with the 2026-27 academic year, the USAA logo will appear on jerseys for 30 Navy varsity sports, providing a visible representation of the continued collaboration between two organizations with deep connections to the military community.

"USAA has been an incredible partner of Navy Athletics because they understand who our student-athletes are and what they represent," said Naval Academy Athletic Association President and Director of Athletics Michael Kelly. "This expanded partnership reflects a shared commitment to developing leaders of character, supporting the experience of our student-athletes and honoring the values that connect the Naval Academy and USAA. We are grateful for USAA's continued investment in Navy Athletics and look forward to building upon this relationship for years to come."

"Being named the first ever Anchor Partner of Navy Athletics is a distinction we don't take lightly, because it signals something far more meaningful than a logo on a field or a patch on a jersey," said Chris Curtin, Chief Marketing Officer at USAA. "This partnership is about standing alongside these future officers throughout their journey, investing in their development as leaders of character and reinforcing the bond between the military community and the institutions that serve them. USAA has spent more than a century earning the trust of those who wear the uniform, and this partnership lets us extend that same commitment to the young men and women preparing to lead them."

The expanded partnership will provide a comprehensive presence across Navy Athletics, including the USAA logo on the field for regular season football games at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, expanded physical and digital venue signage, social media and video collaborations and additional opportunities to engage with Navy's student-athletes, fans and alumni.

USAA's partnership with Navy Athletics also includes hospitality opportunities and digital assets.
