ANNAPOLIS, Md.—Navy senior running back
Vic Listorti has been named to the 2026 Comeback Player of the Year watch list released by College Sports Communicators in association with the
Associated Press and the Fiesta Sports Foundation.
Since 2018, the award has recognized college football student-athletes who have overcome injury, illness or other circumstances. At the conclusion of each season, three student-athletes are selected as Comeback Player of the Year Award winners in a vote by a panel of college football writers, editors and sports information directors. The winners are honored at the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl.
College athletics communications professionals who work with football programs are encouraged to nominate deserving candidates at Comeback-Player.com.
Listorti appeared in just five games last fall after battling a hamstring injury for most of the season.
He was projected to serve as the backup to
Alex Tecza but finished the year with just three carries for 17 yards.
Listorti was listed first on the depth chart at running back when the Mids opened preseason camp.
Navy football season and single-game tickets are on sale now by calling 1-800-US4-NAVY or online at

The Mids open the 2026 season at home against Towson on Sept. 5 at 3:30 p.m.
