What other schools offered you and what was it about Navy that made you come here?
South Florida, Arizona State, Air Force, and Murray State. Navy was the best situation for me because it gave me an education that is second to none while also giving me the opportunity to play football at a high level.
 
What would you tell somebody that is considering coming to Navy to play football?
Come be a part of this brotherhood. You'll get every ounce of your potential and ability squeezed out of you if you're willing to work and you will meet some of the best friends that you will have for the rest of your life.
 
If you could play another position, what position would you play and why?
Quarterback. I've played QB my entire life and played it for my first two years here.
 
If you could choose any opponent for Navy to play that is currently not on the schedule, who would you choose and why? Northwestern University because it would be a homecoming game for me.
 
Favorite class at the Naval Academy and why?
Thermodynamics. The logic behind all the arithmetic and the way you solve the math just flows really easily for me.
 
Favorite teacher at the Naval Academy? Lt. Cmdr. Lindsey Olsen. She was my thermodynamics professor this summer and she made her classroom a safe space where I felt like there were no dumb questions. If I needed anything explained further, she could even break it down in football terms, which was pretty cool.
 
Favorite form of social media and why? YouTube Shorts are actually pretty good.
 
Favorite person to follow on social media and why? I like watching Stephen A. Smith debate on First Take on YouTube.
 
If you could have dinner with any 4 people that are currently at the Naval Academy, who would you choose and why? Phillip Hamilton, Arnel Heathington, Santino Sanchez and Josh Guerin because they are probably the funniest people on the team.
 
Favorite sport to follow at the Naval Academy outside of football and why? Men's and women's basketball.
 
What song is playing on your headphones in the locker room right before taking the field? "Bad" by Michael Jackson.
 
What is your dream vacation? A golf trip to Hawaii.

Tell us one thing about you that most people don't know? I am the worst athlete in my family. My dad was drafted 26th overall by the Cincinnati Reds out of high school and was Mr. Baseball in Illinois in the same year. My oldest sister, Cessily, is one of the fastest girls to ever run track in Illinois and she ran track for the University of Oklahoma and the University of Central Florida.
 
If there was a movie about your life what would it be called and who would play you?
The movie would be called The Journey, and it would be played by Justin Bonsu.
 
If you could play another sport at the Naval Academy, what would it be?
Golf.

What does it mean to wear "Navy" across your chest?  It means you're performing for Navy and Marine Corps personnel all around the world.
 
What leadership lesson has football taught you? How to come back every day, no matter if the previous day was good or bad, and just keep chopping away.
 
Which upperclassman impacted you the most when you arrived? Blake Horvath has been the biggest influence I've had, not only as a teammate but as a friend. Hearing about his football journey and the path that led him to becoming arguably the most productive Navy QB of all time has helped me apply some of his philosophies to the way I approach my own career now.
 
What's one quality every successful midshipman needs? Poise.
