BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Navy's Farrah Eike and Amara Chambers received accolades from the Patriot League today after the duo helped lead the Mids to a pair of victories last week at Colgate and at Holy Cross.  Eike was named the league's volleyball player of the week and Chambers was selected as the defensive player of the week for the sport.

Eike recorded 24 kills, 13 digs and a .327 hitting percentage in Navy's five-set victory at Colgate.  She recorded 18 kills and hit .533 over the last three sets –– with five coming in the abbreviated fifth set –– as the Mids rallied from a 2-0 deficit in sets to win at Colgate for the first time since 2018.  Eike proceeded to just miss a second double-double in a row with her 11-kill, 9-dig effort the following day during a 3-0 win at Holy Cross.

She averaged 4.38 kills and 2.75 digs per set to earn the second weekly nod of her career (Oct. 22, 2024).

Chambers snared 21 digs and added 8 assists during the five-set win against the Raiders, then grabbed 15 digs during the victory over the Crusaders.  She averaged 4.50 digs –– second in the league on the weekend –– in the two matches to earn the first weekly award of her career.

The Mids start a three-match homestand Friday when they play host to Lafayette at 6 p.m., then take on Bucknell Saturday at 4 p.m.  Both matches will be played in the Wesley A. Brown Field House.
