BETHLEHEM, Pa. --
Ellen Gundlach was named the Patriot League Player of the Week today for her efforts in helping the Navy volleyball team to a pair of four-set victories over the weekend.
She led the league in kills (36), ranked second in kills per set (4.50) and third in hitting percentage (.452 / 36-8-62) as the Mids defeated Lafayette and Bucknell to improve their record to 4-0 in league play.
Gundlach recorded a career-best 22 kills and added a .545 hitting percentage against the Leopards, then posted 14 kills and a .345 hitting percentage against the Bison.
It was the first weekly award of her career, and comes one week after fellow Mids
Farrah Eike was named the player of the week and
Amara Chambers was named the defensive player of the week.
Navy will play host to Loyola Friday at 6 p.m. and then play at American Sunday at 2 p.m.
