About the Tournament
• The tournament includes teams from across the country, including all three service academies (Army, Navy, Air Force).
• Proceeds from the event will benefit the Folds of Honor, a 501(c) (3) nonprofit whose mission it is to provide back, through scholarships, to the families of America's fallen or disabled military and first responders. To date, the organization has given out 44,000 scholarships.
• This is the fifth time the Folds of Honor Collegiate has been played ... Illinois won the inaugural tournament (Sept. 26-18, 2022), while Notre Dame claimed the 2023 title team title (Sept. 4-6, 2023), Alabama cruised to the team title in 2024 (Sept. 9-11, 2024) and and repeated a year ago with a 5-under par 847 (285-280-282), winning by 6 strokes over the runner-up Notre Dame.
• This year's field includes 20 teams that were represented at the 2026 NCAA Regionals, 11 that advanced to the NCAA Championships, and 12 that ended the Spring ranked inside the top 35 in the country.
• The teams that qualified for the 2026 NCAA Division I or II Regionals are led by 2026 NCAA Championship qualifiers Florida State, Grand Valley State (Division II) and Texas. Other NCAA Regional qualifiers in the year's field include back-to-back Collegiate Men's champion Alabama; 2023 Collegiate Men's Champion Notre Dame; Kansas, Navy, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech and Northwestern.

The Course
• American Dunes Golf Club, known as "the church Jack built," is a living memorial for the sacrifices made by America's service men and women that will see the legendary Jack Nicklaus himself in attendance.
• The facility, which is located a few hundred yards from the east shore of Lake Michigan, is a dunes-like course, utilizing the dramatic local topography and sand base that covers the property.

More on the Mids
• Coming off an historic season that saw the Mids claim their eighth Patriot League Championship and the program's 13th NCAA Tournament appearance, Navy will be looking to build upon its success without two of the program's best golfers - Chip Deegan and Jack Tarzy - who graduated in May.
• Deegan and Tarzy garnered PING All-Northeast Region Team and First-Team All-Patriot League recognition last spring. Tarzy won a individual medalist honors a remarkable four times last season, the most by a Navy golfer in a single season since Billy Hurley won six titles in 2003-04. While Deegan (71.77) and Tarzy (72.57) led the team in stroke average a year ago, they also closed out their time in Annapolis with the lowest career stroke averages (Deegan 73.22 / Tarzy 73.62) since 2004 when Billy Hurley finished his career with a 72.96 average.
• Senior Danny Auffant will be the veteran member of the group, as Navy will be represent by a senior, two sophomores and two freshmen.
• This will be Auffant's third appearance at the Folds of Honor Collegiate (2023, 82-82-74=238 / 2024, 75-78-81=234), while sophomore Josh Durthaler made his collegiate debut a year ago at the Folds of Honor Collegiate where he put together a three-round 235 (77-77-81).
• Though Tim Luckett is in his second year on the team, he will be making his collegiate debut in Monday's opening round, as will freshmen Payton Cowhey and Collin Alstrin. A note on Cowhey, he attended Florida State during the 2024-25 and 2025-26 academic years, but was not a member of the golf team. He is a freshman academically and a sophomore in terms of athletic eligibility.
• Navy shot a 44-over par 896 (300-300-296) to place 13th at the Folds of Honor last September.
