Naval Academy Athletics

2021-22 // Senior Year
• Competed at 149 pounds during his senior campaign.
• Made appearances in the East Stroudsburg Open (unattached), Mat-Town College Open (unattached), GMU Patriots Open, Franklin & Marshall Open, Mat-Town College Open II and Messiah Open, posting a record of 11-12.
• Went 4-2 at the Mat-Town College Open II to place third and 4-2 at the Messiah Open to place fifth. 

2020-21 // Junior Year
• Served in a support role with the wrestling team.

2019-20 // Sophomore Year
• Put together a 5-6 record among the three tournaments in which he wrestled - Patriot Open (2-2), Franklin & Marshall Open (3-2) and Shorty Hitchcock Memorial (0-2).

2018-19 // Freshman Year
• Competed in the Navy Classic, Franklin & Marshall Tournament and Edinboro Open at 149 pounds.
• Earned his first-career win in what was his first collegiate bout - a 10-5 decision over Cleveland State’s Brady Barnett.

High School
• 2018 graduate of Culver Academies in Culver, Ind.
• Four-year wrestling letter winner.
• Two-time state qualifier (2016 & 2018).
• Four-time sectional champion and the regional champion his junior year.
• Earned All-State (Ind.) honors after placing sixth at the state championship his senior year.
• Served as team captain his junior and senior years.
• Garnered academic all-state honors as a junior and senior.

Personal
• Son of John and Laurie Davis.
• His service assignment is Marine Corps Pilot.
• Majoring in ocean engineering, he owns a 3.18 grade-point average.
• Has earned Superintendent’s List (S2022), Commandant’s (S2019, F2019, S2020, S2021, S2022) and Dean’s List (F2018) accolades.
• Brother, Zack, is a 2018 graduate of the Naval Academy where he graduated as one of 15 wrestlers in program history to win at least 100 matches.
• Twin cousins Alex and Zach Johnson graduated from the Naval Academy in 2014 and both were members of the wrestling team.
