Biography

• A starter on defense in each of the last 31 games (every game in which he has played) dating back to his rookie season - 13 Fr // 13 So // 5 Jr
• Broke into Navy’s top 20 list for caused turnovers with his takeaway against UMBC (2.15.19)
• With 26 caused turnovers, he is tied with Nik Mullen (2011-14) for 12th on the all-time list ... he trails 10th-place Andy Tormey (2006-09) and Matt Vernam (2009-12) by 6

2020 // Junior Year
• Part of a defensive unit that finished the shortened 2020 campaign ranked #11 nationally in both scoring defense (9.40) and man-down defense (11-14, 78.6)
• Moved into a tie for 12th on Navy’s all-time caused turnovers list (26) with a takeaway and a pair of grounders against Colgate
• Grabbed a career-high tying 3 ground balls in the league opener at Lehigh
• Recorded a pair of caused turnovers at Richmond ... one of 9 Navy players to record a caused turnover against the Spiders
• Navy’s defensive unit held Furman without a goal for 51:44, the longest it has held an opponent scoreless since 3.3.09, when it held Mount St. Mary’s off the board for 53:04 in a 6-2 win.
• The 3 goals scored by Furman were the fewest goals Navy has given up since defeating Sacred Heart, 7-1, on 4.22.16 ... the Paladins also got off just 16 shots, including 7 on goal.
• The defense held Manhattan to 4 goals against in the opener ... the Jaspers also got off just 27 shots

2019 // Sophomore Year
• A starter at close defense in all 13 contests, he recorded 7 caused turnovers and 14 ground balls
• Part of a defensive unit that held Colgate scoreless over the final 18:46, as Navy rallied from two goals down in the fourth quarter to win 16-11
• Part of a strong defensive effort by the Mids against Lafayette (3.9) that saw the Mids keep the Leopards off the scoreboard for 21:53 (1:12 1Qtr - 9:19 3Qtr) ... Navy gave up just 3 goals to the Leopards over the first 3 quarters of play
• Did a yeoman’s job defending Bucknell leading scorer William Yorke, who came into the game as the team’s leading scorer with 12 goals ... Yorke was held to a single assist which was notched with just over a minute to play in the game
• Navy’s defense held UMBC to just 3 goals over the final 3 quarters and scoreless in the fourth
• Broke into Navy’s top 20 list for caused turnovers with his caused turnover against UMBC
• Part of a defensive unit that held Vermont to 4 goals in the first 50 minutes of action in the opener

2018 // Freshman Year
• A starter on defense in each of the last 13 games of his rookie season
• Closed out the year tied for second on the team in caused turnovers alongside senior Hiram Carter with 13 ... the 13 caused turnovers are tied (Chris Fennell in 2014) as the most by a freshman in program history
• Posted a takeaway and a ground ball in the win over #9 Syracuse
• Navy’s defense held Colgate, ranked #6 nationally in scoring offense (13.00), to 10 goals and was just 00:01 from holding the Raiders to single digits
• Part of a defensive unit that held Holy Cross to just 1 goal over the final 45 minutes in a 5-4 Navy win ... the Crusaders were held scoreless over the final 17 minutes, as the Mids scored the final 2 goals to earn the come-from-behind victory ... tied his career high in caused turnovers with 4 against the Crusaders
• Helped Navy hold #14 Lehigh to a season-low 7 goals after the Mountain Hawks entered the game ranked 12th nationally with a 12.22 goals per game average ... after the Mountain Hawks trimmed Navy’s lead to one (7-6) in the third quarter, the Mids held them scoreless for better than 13 minutes between the third and fourth quarters to secure the 10-7 victory and hand Lehigh its first Patriot League loss
• Defensively, Navy held Lafayette to just 5 goals, including 1 over the first 33 minutes of the game, en route to a 15-5 win
• Part of a defensive unit that held Bucknell to 4 goals over the final 45 minutes and scoreless over the final 14.12 in a 13-8 Navy victory ... posted a career-high 4 caused turnovers against the Bison
• Member of the Mids’ defensive unit that held Boston U. to just one goal over the last 19:43 of the game and scoreless for the final 10:25
• Member of the Mids’ defensive unit that held UMBC scoreless for better than 15 minutes between the third and fourth quarters that allowed Navy to go on a 3-0 run and clinch the victory
• Made his first collegiate appearance in the Mids’ game at #1 Maryland where he also made his first career start ... grabbed a ground ball and caused a turnover

• Two-sport athlete who earned letters in football (3) and lacrosse (4)
• Two-time all-league, all-county, and First-Team All-Long Island lacrosse player (2016-17)
• Earned All-America honors his senior year, while also being named the New York Player of the Year and the All-Metro Player of the Year
• Ward Melville’s lacrosse team won the 2016 Long Island Championship and the 2017 State Championship
• Garnered all-league, First-Team All-Long Island and Honorable Mention All-Metro honors in football his senior year
