Biography
As a junior: Sally competed in 4 regattas this season. She finished 4th at the Navy Quad Team Race, 3rd at the Navy Quad Fleet Race, 1st at MAISA South Women’s Championship and 2nd at Women’s Nationals.
As a sophomore: Competed in 9 regattas and finished on the podium in 5. Her top finishes were 2nd at St. Mary’s Team Inter-Conference Regatta, 3rd at War Memorial and 1st at the Truxtun Umsted Coed Showcase Qualifier.
As a Freshman: Sally competed in 16 regattas, 8 of which were podium finishes. She earned All American for her strong performance. Highlights included 2nd place finishes at the America Trophy, Navy Spring and the Aaron Szambecki Team Race. Additionally, she finished 6th at the Team Race National Championship.
Prior to Navy: Sally Johnson is the oldest of 5 girls. She grew up in Richmond, VA and graduated from Christchurch in 2018 where she sailed as a crew for their high school sailing team.
