• 2020 Second-Team All-American
• 2019, ‘20 NCAA Qualifier
• 2019, ‘20 EIWA Champion
• 2020 NWCA Scholar All-American
• 2020 EIWA Academic Achievement Award

2019-20 // Junior Year

• Fought off various injuries throughout the season to post a 20-4 record, including a 7-2 dual mark
• Successfully defended his EIWA Championship title by posting a 4-0 record at the 2020 tournament and defeated third-seeded Zach Hartman of Bucknell in the championship match by way of a 4-2 decision
• He is one of 32 wrestlers in school history and the first since Joe Baker (2008, ‘09) to win at least two EIWA titles
• Earned an automated bid to the NCAA Championship for a second straight year, however it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic
• Named a Second-Team All-American by the NWCA after the NCAA Championship was canceled
• Earned dual victories against Fresno State, California Baptist, Maryland, Lock Haven, Lehigh, Duke and Army
• Put together a 5-1 record at the Southern Scuffle, dropping a 2-1 decision to seventh-ranked Shane Griffith of Stanford in the championship bout
• Went 4-1 at the Navy Classic, dropping a 9-3 decision to seventh-ranked David McFadden of Virginia Tech in the finals
• Won all three of his matches that were decided in sudden victory

2018-19 // Sophomore Year
• First-year starter for the Mids at 165 pounds, he put together a 21-10 record and a 7-3 dual mark
• Navy’s first wrestler to win an individual title at the EIWA Championship since 2015, he posted a 4-0 record and defeated Army’s Cael McCormick in the finals at 165 pounds
• By way of his EIWA crown, he earned his first NCAA Championship bid where he posted a 1-2 record
• Earned a 10-2 major decision over Northwestern’s Tyler Morland for his first career NCAA Championship victory
• Also won the All-Academy Championship title, beating The Citadel’s Dazjon Casto, 2-1, in the finals
• Went 4-3 at the Southern Scuffle where he placed eighth
• Shut out Army’s Cael McCormick, 4-0, in the annual Army-Navy Star Match

2017-18 // Freshman Year
• Made appearances at the Southern Scuffle and Edinboro Open where he posted a combined 5-3 record
• Pinned (6:00) Chattanooga’s Dominick Petrucelli at the Southern Scuffle to post his first collegiate victory
• Put together a 4-1 mark at the Edinboro Open to place third

High School
• 2017 graduate of Cascia Hall Preparatory School in Tulsa, Okla.
• Four-time Oklahoma state finalist and three-time Oklahoma State Champion (2014-15-17)
• Was the Oklahoma state runner-up in 2016
• Served as captain of the wrestling team his junior and senior years
• Member of the Cascia Hall teams that placed second at the state championship in 2016 and third in 2017
• Member of the National Honor Society

• Majoring in Quantitative Economics, he owns a 3.09 grade-point average
• Has earned Commandant’s (F2019, F2020) List accolades multiple times, while also being named to the Dean’s List (F2020)
• Older brother, Scout, is also a senior at the Naval Academy and a member of the wrestling team
• Father, Chance, wrestled at Central Oklahoma
• Grandfather, Wes Skidgel, played football at Oklahoma
