- Posted a career-high nine strikeouts against Lafayette in the Patriot League Semifinals in 7-2/3 innings allowing a run on two hits
2018 (Freshman):
- Earned Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors four times, which was the most in the league
- Appeared out of the bullpen 18 times and started once as a freshman
- Finished second on the team with five victories on the mound after going 5-2 and posting an ERA of 3.21
- He also led Navy with five saves on the mound
- After allowing a run in his first collegiate appearance, he did not allow a run in his next six appearances
- Of his 19 appearances on the season, he had 12 scoreless outings
- His lone start of the season came on Feb. 28 against Coppin State, where he threw three scoreless frames allowing just one hit and striking out four batters
- He threw a career-high seven strikeouts twice as a freshman, first coming on Feb. 24 against Air Force in four innings and then in 3-1/3 innings against Rider on March 10
- Compiled 52 strikeouts to finish third on the team and lead all relievers
- He was one of two Midshipmen pitchers to hold opponents under .200 at the plate after holding an opponent batting average of .197
- Leins was part of one shutout during the season after he pitched 1-2/3 innings against Holy Cross in the Patriot League Semifinals to preserve the 4-0 victory for Navy
- He was second among relievers in innings pitched with 42

- Three-year letter winner at Leesville Road HS on the baseball team as an RHP/1B for coach Guy Civitello
- Earned All-Cap-8 Conference accolades in 2017 following an honorable mention all-conference nod in 2016
