Biography
As a Junior: Gray competed in 7 regattas and was part of the winning team at Team Race Nationals, earning him honorable mention All American. He finished 2nd at the Navy Quad Fleet Race, 1st at the MAISA South Team Race Championship, and 1st at Navy Spring Team Race.Â
As a sophomore: Gray competed in 6 regattas. His top performances include 5th out of 18 at the Chesapeake Invitational regatta at St. Mary’s and 4th out of 18 at the Oyster Bowl Regatta.
As a Freshman: Gray Competed in 12 regattas this season. Some of Gray’s best finishes include a 2
ndplace finish at the MAISA/SAISA, Georgetown Team Race, and Washington College Team Race. Gray had an additional 6 podium finishes, and was named to the MAISA All-Academic Team at the conclusion of the year.
Prior to Navy: From Oxford, MD Gray graduated from St. Georges School in 2018. In high school he ran cross-country, swam, and sailed. Most of Gray’s experience is in the C420 and FJ, but he has also competed in 3 offshore Newport-Bermuda races.
