Navy’s starter at 141 pounds in 13 duals … Compiled an overall record of 25-8 and went 12-1 in duals … Claimed dual victories over Illinois, VMI, Pitt, Ohio, American, Oklahoma, South Dakota State, Lehigh, Binghamton, Lock Haven, Bucknell and Army … First mid to win 12 dual matches in a season since Casey Caldwell and Bryce Saddoris, who won 14 and 12, respectively, during the 2008-09 campaign … Defeated No. 7 Cole Matthews by a 5-2 decision to help the Mids upset Pitt (21-12) … Won the 110th individual EIWA title in team history … Defeated Bucknell’s Dylan Chappell in the finals by a 12-2 major decision … Earned his third trip to the NCAA Championship for his placement in the league tournament … Posted a 3-2 record at nationals with wins over Penn’s No. 17 CJ Composto (4-1), Purdue’s No. 29 Greyson Clark (6-0) and Arizona State’s No. 15 Jesse Vasquez (9-5) … Placed second at the Navy Classic and fourth at the Soldier Salute … Also competed in the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational … Represented Navy at the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) All-Star Classic … Became the 16th mid to wrestle in the event and the first since Joe Baker (133), who wrestled in an exhibition match in 2008 … Led the team with a career-high 10 wins over ranked wrestlers … Matched his career high with eighth victories by fall.Â

A 2021 graduate of Belleville Township High School West in Belleville, Ill. … Three-time sectional finalist and two-time champion … Three-time state qualifier who was the IHSA State Wrestling Championship runner-up his sophomore year (39-3) and champion as a junior (49-0) … Due to COVID, the IHSA made the decision to shorten the 2020-21 season to eight weeks and would not feature a postseason championship.
