Naval Academy Athletics

At Navy:
• 2016 - Rowed with the second varsity eight crew in five regular season meets and then the Eastern Sprints before racing with V4+ crew at the IRA Championships
• 2015 - First season of collegiate rowing. After two races with the third varsity crew he moved into the first varsity boat for the final five events, including both the Eastern Sprints and IRA Championships

Prior to Navy:
• Earned two letters rowing for Gonzaga College H.S. in Washington, D.C.
• During the 2012 season with Gonzaga, competed at the WMIRA, Stotesbury Cup and SRAA Nationals

Personal:
• Son of Francis and Elizabeth
• Four family members graduated from the Naval Academy: Grandfather, David (Class of '57), mother, Elizabeth (Class of '85), Uncle John Gilstad (Class of '87) and Aunt Colleen Gilstad (Class of '87)
• Cousin Brant is a teammate on the lightweight squad
• High school teammates with David White (Dartmouth LWTs) and Kevin McGowen (Georgetown LWTs)
