- Had another outstanding season, ranking fourth on the team in scoring (6.7 ppg), second in rebounds (4.2 rpg), fifth in assists (32), sixth in steals (24)ââ'¬Ë†and fourth in blocked shots (4), while playing all 30 games - connected on 51 three-pointers in 131 attempts (.389)ââ'¬Ë†to rank 10th on the single-season three-point percentage list -ââ'¬'shot 42.7 percent from the field - recorded seven double-figure scoring games - was named the CBSââ'¬Ë†Sports / Chevrolet Player of the Game for his role in Navy's Star Game win over Army (Feb. 23). In that game, he recorded his first career double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds and played outstanding post defense. Drilled four three-pointers in the second half to fuel a Navy run - matched a season-high with 18 points on six three-pointers against Seton Hall - tallied 13 points with six rebounds in the first meeting against Army (Jan. 27) - averaged 15.5 ppg, 8.5 rpg and 2.0 spg against the Black Knights - netted 12 points with eight rebounds, a career-high five assists and two steals in a fantastic all-around effort against Towson - scored 16 points with five rebounds and four assists against Howard - added 11 points in the season opener against Longwood (Nov. 9) - tallied 10 points on 4-of-4 shooting against Lehigh (Feb. 13) - in the first 28 games of the season, Teague was 51-of-120 (.425)ââ'¬Ë†from three-point range - connected on at least two three-pointers 14 different times in 2007-08 and had a three-pointer in 23-of-30 games - in a six-game span from Dec. 17 to Jan. 11, Teague was 12-of-21 (.571)ââ'¬Ë†from three-point range, including 3-of-4 against both San Diego State (Dec. 17)ââ'¬Ë†and Maryland-Eastern Shore (Dec. 22) - hauled down five rebounds 15 different times, including in four straight games from Jan. 23 to Feb. 2 - had eight rebounds against Canisius, Towson and Mount St. Mary's, and seven against Penn - averaged 6.3 rpg in a six-game stretch from Nov. 20 to Dec. 3 - snared a career-best four steals against Towson, Army (Jan. 27) and Colgate (Feb. 2). - Teague had a strong sophomore campaign, earning team Most Improved honors after averaging 7.4 ppg and 3.0 rpg while playing all 30 games - ranked fourth on the team in scoring (7.4 ppg)ââ'¬Ë†and assists (36) - drew nine starts during the season - in his nine starts, Teague averaged 9.2 ppg and 4.0 rpg - in his 21 games off the bench, Teague averaged 6.7 ppg and 2.5 rpg - was one of Navy's top shooters for the season, connecting on 44.7 percent of all shots and 36.8 percent of his three-point attempts - also recorded an assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.00, one of four players on the team with a ratio of 1.00 or better - equaled a career high with 19 points in a win over Stony Brook (Nov. 19) - added five rebounds and was 6-of-8 from three-point range against the Seawolves - scored 17 points with three rebounds and a steal in a loss at Holy Cross (Jan. 17), playing just 22 minutes - averaged 10.5 ppg, 3.7 rpg and 1.3 apg while shooting 39-of-81 (.481)ââ'¬Ë†from the field in an 11-game stretch from Dec. 4 to Jan. 17. Was also 21-of-56 (.375)ââ'¬Ë†from long distance during that span - scored in double-figures in four games of a six-game stretch from Dec. 4 to Dec. 30 - had a solid floor game against Delaware Valley College (Dec. 17), tallying 12 points, nine rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks - in the next outing, a rout of Washington (Md.) on Dec. 20, scored 13 points with three rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block - netted 12 points with four rebounds against Yale (Dec. 30) - tallied 10 points with three rebounds, two assists and a steal against Howard (Dec. 4) - also scored 10 points with six rebounds and three steals against Lafayette (Jan. 13) - netted nine big points in the Star Game win over Army (Feb. 17), connecting on a pair of clutch three-pointers in the second half - dished out four assists against Maryland-Eastern Shore (Nov. 21) and William &ââ'¬Ë†Mary (Nov. 28) - connected on at least two three-pointers in 14 games and at least one three-pointer in 24-of-30 games - yanked down six rebounds against Longwood (Dec. 1), NJITââ'¬Ë†(Jan. 2), Lafayette (Jan. 13) and Colgate (Jan. 27) - played a career-high 41 minutes against NJIT (Jan. 2). AS A FRESHMAN
- Teague had a solid freshman season, appearing in 26 games, drawing 17 starts - ranked sixth on the team in scoring (4.7 ppg) and seventh in rebounds (2.6 rpg) - started eight of the final nine games of the season - earned Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors (Jan. 30, 2006) after tallying a career-best 19 points in just 17 minutes in Navy's first-ever Patriot League win over American (Jan. 25). Went 11-of-12 from the free throw line against the Eagles and added three rebounds and two assists - scored 10 points in Navy's next game at Bucknell (Jan. 28) - scored 10 points in the win over Washington (Md.), adding three rebounds, an assist, a block and a steal - scored two points and hauled down three rebounds in his first career game, against Georgetown - in the next game, Teague scored eight points and grabbed a career-best eight rebounds - matched his career-high rebound total three games later against Howard, and chipped in with seven points against the Bison - tallied three blocked shots in just nine minutes against UMBC - contributed eight points against Yale - scored seven points with four rebounds and an assist in the win over The Citadel - netted eight points in just 19 minutes against Lafayette (Jan. 14) - connected on 20 three-pointers on the year, the fifth most on the team - opened the year 7-of-26 (.269) from three-point range in the first 15 games and averaging 3.7 ppg - in the last 13 games, Teague connected on 13-of-33 (.394) three-pointers and averaged 5.1 ppg. - A 2005 graduate of Fred T. Foard High School in Newton, N.C., where he garnered First-Team All-Western Foothills (3A) Conference kudos as a junior and senior, while also being named the conference player of the year in 2004 and '05 - an honorable mention all-state (N.C.) selection, he was also named the Hickory Record Unifour Player of the Year as a senior - in his senior campaign, he led Fred T. Foard to the sectional championship with a 21-8 record - scored better than 1200 points during his career and owns school records for most three-pointers made in a season and a career - lettered three years in basketball and one season in football where he played wide receiver and defensive back - member of the National Beta Club, as well as the Student Council. - Full name is Jeffrey Adam Teague - is right-handed - born April 11, 1987, in Hickory, N.C. - son of Jeff and Kim Teague - younger brother, Jon, is a freshman at the Naval Academy and is a member of the football team as a kicker / punter. The Younger Teague was one of the top-rated kickers in the country coming out of high school - aspires to be a Major League Baseball general manager one day - played AAUââ'¬Ë†baseball growing up with budding superstar, Cameron Maybin, of the Florida Marlins - majoring in economics. # GO NAVY #
