Naval Academy Athletics

• Leadbeter in 2016-17 (Jr.):  Produced a 5-17 record, including a 1-6 dual mark, as the Mids’ starter at 125 pounds ... competed at five regular-season tournaments, including the All-Academy Championship where he placed fourth ... bowed out of the EIWA Championship after going 0-2 ... earned his lone dual victory of the year in a 14-6 major decision over Old Dominion’s Steven Simpson.

• 2015-16 (So.):  Navy’s starter at 125 pounds, turned in a 15-21 record that featured an 4-7 dual meet mark ... placed in two of the six regular-season tournaments in which he competed, including an eighth-place finish at the Michigan State Open (Fr/So Div.) ... won back-to-back matches, including an 8-2 decision over The Citadel’s Charles Kearney, to place third at the All-Academy Championship ... earned solid dual victories over Maryland’s Michael Beck (10-6) and North Carolina’s Anthony Bosco (6-3) ... dropped both matches at the EIWA Championship.

• 2014-15 (Fr.):  Shared the starting 125-pound role as a rookie where he posted a 3-19 record ... competed in eight tournaments, including representing Navy at the EIWA Championship ... scored a 7-4 decision over East Stroudsburg’s Collyn Dorney at the East Stroudsburg Open to earn his first collegiate victory.

• High School: A 2013 graduate of Northern High School in Owings, Md., Leadbeter attended the Naval Academy Prep School during the 2013-14 academic year ... a four-year wrestling letterwinner, he was a two-time Class 4A-3A South Region champion and won the Class 4A-3A state championship as a junior with a 34-2 record ... named The Recorder’s All-County Athlete of the Year in 2012.

• Personal: Son of Michael and Carolyn Leadbeter ... brother, Collin, wrestled at the Naval Academy and is a member of the Class of 2012 ... brother, Quentin, also wrestled at the Naval Academy and graduated in 2015 ... majoring in History ... named to the Commandant’s List last spring.
