• Brant in 2010-11 (Jr.): Having competed in four events, Brant produced an 8-5 record ... turned in a fifth-place finish at the Clarion Knight Point to begin the season, followed by a fourth-place effort at the Navy Classic ... also competed at the Nittany Lion Open and Southern Scuffle.
• 2009-10 (So.): Saw action in just two tournaments, the Central New Jersey Open and the Nittany Lion Open ... his lone win of the year was a 15-4 major decision over Norwich[apos]s Zach Wetzel at the Central New Jersey Open.
• 2008-09 (Fr.): Turned in a 4-6 record his rookie campaign ... competed at four tournaments, including the season-opening Central New Jersey Open where he finished fifth ... also saw action at the West Virginia Open, the Navy Classic and the Nittany Lion Open ... earned his first collegiate win against Nassau Community College[apos]s Cinuque Mandela at the Central New Jersey Open.
• High School: A 2008 graduate of Westmont Hilltop High School, Brant was a four-year standout wrestler, as well as a four-year letterwinner as a pole vaulter on the track & field team ... led the wrestling team to the 2007 District 6 Championship ... in 2008, the wrestling team placed fourth at the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association State Championship ... garnered All-State (Pa.) honors in his senior year, while also picking up All-Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference kudos ... named a Tri-County Wrestling Conference All-Star three times ... in his junior year, the track team finished as the state runner-up ... member of the National Honor Society.
• Personal: Son of Allen and Lynn Brant ... majoring in Information Technology, he owns a 3.23 GPA ... has been named to the Commandant[apos]s List five times and the Superintendent[apos]s List twice ... ranked among the top 22 percent of his class (1,135) in overall order of merit and is ranked 53rd in military order of merit.
