Cliff Dooman is in his 18th year at Navy, where he serves as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach. He works directly with the football program. He also serves as an Assistant Professor in the Physical Education department.
Prior to Navy, Dooman spent two years as Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at The Ohio State University. He had also previously fulfilled the roles of Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Hartford, Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Frappier Sports Acceleration and Intern Strength and Conditioning Coach at the U.S. Olympic Training Center.
Dooman made his first stop at Navy in 1995-96, where he served as Intern Strength and Conditioning Coach.
Dooman has earned many certifications through his career, which include National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, USA Track and Field Level I Coach, USA Weightlifting Senior Coach, Crossfit Level I, Crossfit Football and American Heart Association First Aid and CPR.
Dooman earned his master's degree in exercise science/education from the University of Dayton in 1998 and his bachelor's degree in exercise science from Springfield College (Mass.) in 1995. He currently resides in Annapolis with his wife, Shannon, and two sons, Samuel and Cameron.
