• Lettered in baseball at both Madison Central HS (MS) for two years and Southlake Carroll (TX) for one year; also swam and bowled at Madison Central
• Helped Madison to a regional championship in 2013 and Southlake Carroll to one in 2015
• Pitched in the 2013 and 2014 Area Code Games
• Recognized by Perfect Game on the publication’s 2015 All-Texas Region honorable mention team, as well as on its underclass honorable mention teams in 2013 and 2014.

• Spends his free time hunting, fishing, farming and working on trucks
• Born and raised in Madison, Miss. before moving to Texas his senior year and graduating from Southlake Carroll HS
• Extracurricular activities included: National Honor Society, Beta Club, FCA and the ACT 30+ Club
• Cousin John Reeves played collegiately at Arkansas and Rice and was drafted by the Washington Nationals following his senior year in 2015
• Four of his teammates from Southlake Carroll are playing or are signees to play DI baseball: Oklahoma State RHP Ben Leeper ’19, Arkansas OF Eric Cole ’19, Texas A&M IF Hector Sanchez ’20 and Arkansas RHP Kole Ramage ’21. Teammate at Madison Central, Ti’Quan Forbes was a second round draft pick of Texas Rangers in 2014 and currently in the team’s minor league system
