- Played four years of varsity baseball at Gulf Breeze High School
- Selected to the all-conference team as a junior and senior
- Served as team captain and claimed team MVP honors as a junior and senior
- High school teammate of Brock Clayton (Florida), Jacob Thorn (Southeastern Louisiana) and Roman Jackson (Gulf Coast State)
- Also played three years of varsity football for Gulf Breeze, earning all-conference honors twice
- Inducted into the Gulf Breeze High School Hall of Fame
