Ben LaChance serves as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for baseball, rowing (HWT & WMN) and swimming & diving (M & W).

Prior to his arrival at Navy, LaChance was the Associate Director of Sports Performance at Queens University of Charlotte from Sept. 2017 through July 2021. While at Queens, he was responsible for all aspects of strength, conditioning and performance for baseball, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, women's soccer and field hockey.

LaChance has also served at the collegiate level at North Carolina State as a strength and conditioning professional intern from 2015 to 2017, as well as at UNC Wilmington as an intern from 2013 to 2015.

After his time at N.C. State and before Queens University, he worked with the Minnesota Twins as a minor league strength and conditioning coach during the 2017 season. While with the Twins' minor league organization, he programmed and administered weight training and conditioning programs for minor league players, created and implemented speed development programs for position players and tracked player activity using the Kinduct athlete management platform. Additionally, he used the Omega Wave, Gymaware and Nordboard monitoring systems.

A former collegiate swimmer, LaChance earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from UNC Wilmington in 2014 and his master’s in organizational development from Queens in 2020. He resides in Cape St. Claire, Md. with his wife, Emma.

LaChance is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach through the NSCA, Level 1: Functional Movement Systems Certified and a Smart Cuffs Certified Blood Flow Restriction Provider.
