High School
- Played four years of varsity baseball at Basehor-Linwood High School
- Named a second-team all-state catcher as a senior, earning all-state honorable mention as a pitcher
- Selected first-team all-league as both a catcher and pitcher as a senior, named a second-team all-league catcher as a junior and earned honorable mention catcher status as a sophomore
- High school teammate of Carter Bergman (Missouri State), Nash McCarty (KCKCC), Brody Torkelson (Colby CC) and Trey West (Washburn)
- Also played varsity football for three years at Basehor-Linwood, helping win the conference championship as a freshman
- Was a member of Basehor-Linwood’s powerlifting team for three years
