•    High School / Personal:  A 2022 graduate of Southeast Guilford High School in Greensboro, N.C., McCalop attended the Naval Academy Prep School during the 2022-23 academic year ... two-sport athlete who earned letters in football (4) and wrestling (4) ... four-time (Fr, So, Jr, Sr) Mid-Piedmont 3A All-Conference football standout, who was a three-time (So, Jr, Sr) Mid-Piedmont 3A and 4A Conference Defensive Player of the Year ... also earned All-Area honors three times ... led the team to the NCHSAA Class 4-A playoff his junior year ... three-time (So, Jr, Sr) All-State (N.C.) and All-Conference wrestler ... twice (Jr, Sr) named the Conference Wrestler of the Year ... served as president of the Men of Destiny, a club that read books weekly to a third grade class in his hometown ... also received an offer from Kentucky ... son of Shaan and Taba McCalop.
