• At Navy: Good athlete that has seen playing time on special teams in each of the last two years ... finished the spring second on the depth chart at raider behind Nizaire Cromartie ... has earned two varsity letters.

• 2018: Saw action in 11 games ... turned in a tackle against Army ... recorded his first career tackle in the win over Lehigh.

• 2017: Saw action in 11 games as a member of special teams ... made his collegiate debut against Tulane in the home opener.

• High School / Personal:  A 2016 graduate of Briarwood Christian School, Bankston was a two-sport athlete who earned letters in baseball (4) and football (4) ... a three-year starter on the defensive line who was a two-time all-metro, all-county, All-Over the Mountain Team selection ... a member of the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta... has traveled to 13 different countries on mission trips ... also recruited by Southern Miss, Princeton, Harvard and Yale ... brother, Barnes, played baseball at William Carey University ... father played basketball at William Carey ... son of Steven and Kymberly Bankston ... majoring in general engineering.
