Mike Palmer is in his third year at the Naval Academy as a quality control coach. Palmer is a 2021 graduate of Boston College where he was a six-year member of the football team. He earned his Masters in Sports Administration in 2020 and a certificate in Executive Leadership and Organizational Development in 2021.Â
   In 2024,  Palmer helped lead the Mids to a 10-3 record, wins over Air Force and Army to win the Commander-In-Chief’s Trophy and a victory over Oklahoma to win the Armed Forces Bowl. The 10 wins marked just the sixth time in school history that Navy won 10 or more games in a season.
   Palmer was a three-year starter for the Eagles at free safety and was a member of five bowl teams while at Boston College. He finished his career with 158 career tackles and four interceptions. He was a team captain in 2021.
   After graduation, Palmer was invited to the New Orleans Saints Rookie mini camp.
   Before coming to Navy he was working at Oliver James, a recruitment partner to the financial services, professional services and commerce & industry sectors. Prior to that he served as a volunteer football coach at Maine Endwell High School in Endwell, N.Y, where they won the Class B State Championship in 2022.Â
   Palmer is also the NYSPHAA career interception record holder with 21 interceptions.Â
