• At Navy: Enters the fall second on the depth chart at will linebacker behind Tyler Pistorio ... played eight plays against Hawai’i in the 2018 season opener before injuring his left knee and missing the rest of the season ... was named the winner of the 2017 Admiral Mack Award, which is given to the most improved player during spring ball ... has earned one varsity letter.

• High School / Personal:  A 2017 graduate of Canton Central Catholic High School, Baumoel was a two-sport athlete who earned letters in football (4) and track & field (2) ... led his high school football team to the 2016 Ohio D-5 State Championship behind an 11-3 record ... named the Ohio D-5 Defensive Player of the Year his senior season, while garnering All-State (Ohio) honors ... also named a 2016 Max Preps Small School All-American ... earned NE Ohio Defensive Player of the Year honors as a junior ... a two-time All-Ohio and All-Stark County selection ... also an All-Ohio performer in track & field in 2015 ... father is a graduate of Colgate where he played third base on the baseball team ... son of Jonathan and Lynn Baumoel ... majoring in political science ... earned over a 3.4 grade point average during the spring semester.
