•    At Navy: Coming off a sensational junior year as Navy’s punter ...  has put on 11 pounds since last  season ... has earned one varsity letter.

•    2025: Navy’s starting punter throughout the season ... averaged 44.5 yards on 37 punts ... had 11 50-plus yard punts in 2025  (55 vs. Rice / 52 vs. Air Force / 62, 55, 57, 51 at Temple / 53 at North Texas / 52 at Notre Dame / 66 vs. South Florida / 54 at Memphis / 53 vs. Cincinnati) and placed 16 of his 37 punts inside the 20 ... named to the 2025 Ray Guy Award Watch List following the Temple contest ... averaged 44.2 yards on 5 punts against Cincinnati in the Liberty Bowl ... placed 2 punts inside the 20 and had a long of 53 yards against the Bearcats ... punted twice against Army (32, 47) for a 39.5 average ... punted 4 times for a 44.5 average at Memphis that included a 54-yarder and 2 punts that he placed inside the 20 ... punted 4 times against South Florida where he averaged 46.2 yards per game ... had a career-long 66-yarder against the Bulls and placed 2 punts inside the 20 ... punted a career-high 6 times (43.7) at Notre Dame, placing a pair inside the 20 and had a game-long 52-yarder ... his lone punt at North Texas was a 53-yarder and was inside the 20 ... Navy did not punt against Florida Atlantic ... his 4 punts at Temple were all 50 yards or more, including a then career-long 62-yarder in the opening quarter ... punted just twice against Air Force, placing his 1st inside the 20 and booting his 2nd 52 yards ... punted 3 times for a 42.0 average against Rice ... recorded a career-long 55-yarder against the Owls and placed another punt inside the 20 ... called on to punt just once at Tulsa, a 43-yarder ... punted 3 times against UAB where he placed all 3 inside the 20 ... booted a 48-yarder against the Blazers ... made his debut as the Mids’ starting punter ... punted in short yardage twice for 63 yards ... he also placed his first-career punt inside the 5-yard line thanks to a favorable bounce.

•    2024: Navy’s backup at punter, kickoffs and holder, he saw action in 3 contests ... averaged 53.9 yards on 8 kickoffs (431 yds) on the year ... booted his kick 52 yards following Navy’s touchdown just before the end of the opening half at USF ... took Navy’s final kickoff (38 yds) in its Homecoming win over Charlotte ... made his collegiate debut in Navy’s opener against Bucknell, kicking off 6 times and averaging 56.8 yards.

•    High School / Personal: A 2024 graduate of John Paul II High School in Plano, Texas, Carlson was a three-sport athlete who earned letters in baseball (4), football (4) and track & field (1) ... garnered First-Team All-District and Second-Team All-State (Texas) honors in football as a sophomore ... also named Star Local Media First-Team All-Area his senior year ... earned Second-Team All-District and Honorable Mention All-State recognition in baseball his junior year ... member of the National Honor Society ... plays the cello ... father, Tom is a graduate of Garden City College where he was a member of the track & field program ... son of Tom and Trish Carlson ... majoring in naval architecture and marine engineering.
