• At Navy: A starter in 12 contests (last 6 of 2019, first 6 in 2020) ... has earned two varsity letters ... had an incredible sophomore campaign that saw him go from the junior varsity to one of the top rushing touchdown leaders in the country and a First-Team All-East selection ... might be the fastest fullback Navy has ever had.
• 2020: A starter in 6 of the 10 games in which he played ... Navy’s second-leading rusher with 358 yards on 97 carries and a pair of touchdowns ... also caught 4 passes for 103 yards and a TD ... carried the ball 3 times for 11 yards against Tulsa ... carried the ball twice for 10 yards against Memphis ... had his 12-game starting streak snapped against SMU where he came in to gain 11 yards on 6 carries and caught 2 passes for a career-high 91 yards and a TD ... caught a career-long 62-yard screen pass for a touchdown, Navy’s second-longest scoring play of the season ... gained 13 yards on 8 carries against Houston ... eclipsed the 1,000-yard rushing milestone for his career at East Carolina ... carried the ball 17 times for 82 yards and a 3-yard touchdown in the win over the Pirates ... once again teamed up with fellow fullback Nelson Smith to account for 239 of Navy’s 288 rushing yards, along with 3 of the 4 touchdowns in the contest ... also caught his first pass of the season for a 14-yard gain ... paired up with Nelson Smith (20 carries, 120 yards) to lead the rushing attack against Temple with a combined 173 yards and 3 touchdowns ... rushed for 53 yards on 15 carries and capped the Mids’ opening 17-play drive with a 1-yard TD run ... carried the ball 8 times for 21 yards at Air Force ... turned in his third-career 100-yard rushing game and first of the season with a team-best 137 yards on a career-high 25 carries at Tulane ... 112 of his 127 yards on the ground came in the second half, sparking the Mids’ come-from-behind victory over the Green Wave ... his season-long 48-yard run set up a 1-yard TD run by fellow fullback and Baton Rouge native Nelson Smith with 2:46 remaining in the third quarter ... carried the ball 9 times for 28 yards against BYU in the opener.
• 2019: A starter in 6 of the 10 games in which he played ... garnered First-Team All-ECAC honors ... began the season as a member of the JV squad and while he saw action at the end of the opener against Holy Cross, he did not see any meaningful snaps until the Tulsa game on Oct. 12 ... finished the year as the Mids’ second-leading rusher with 734 yards on 111 carries, while scoring 14 touchdowns ... also caught 4 passes for 105 yards and 2 touchdowns ... ranked 16th in the country in rushing touchdowns with 14, while teammate Malcolm Perry finished third with 21 ... his 9.6 points per game ranked 11th nationally ... his 6.61 rushing yards per carry stood as the seventh best in the country ... rushed for 22 yards on 13 carries in the Mids’ win over Kansas State in the Liberty Bowl ... carried the ball a career-high 22 times for 75 yards that included a 5-yard touchdown run against Army ... also caught a 1-yard touchdown pass from Chance Warren in the win over the Black Knights ... named AAC Offensive Player of the Week after carrying the ball 18 times for a career-high 188 yards and scored a program-record 5 touchdowns by a non-quarterback in the Mids’ win over Houston ... it was the most yards rushing by a Navy fullback since Alexander Teich had 210 yards against Notre Dame on Oct. 23, 2010 ... part of a Navy offense that rushed for a season-high 447 yards and 8 TDs, while its 554 yards of total offense are the second most this season ... his career-long 75-yard touchdown run to open the second half was the second-longest scoring play of the season by the Mids ... also caught a career-long 47-yard pass from Malcolm Perry ... helped Navy’s offense amass 540 yards on a season-best 88 plays in its win over SMU ... was Navy’s second-leading rusher with 53 yards on 11 carries ... carried the ball 11 times for 41 yards at Notre Dame ... part of an offense that amassed a season-high 573 yards of total offense, including 408 yards on the ground en route to scoring a season-best 56 points in the win at UConn ... having earned his first collegiate start, carried the ball 8 times for 65 yards and 3 touchdowns against the Huskies ... earned AAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors for his effort against Tulane, carrying the ball 14 times (came into the game with 14 carries) for a then career-high 154 yards and 3 touchdowns, while catching 1 pass for a 31-yard touchdown ... combined with Malcolm Perry (142 yds) to become the first Navy combo to rush for 100 yards since Perry teamed up with Chris High to rush for 114 and 101 yards, respectively, against Virginia on Dec. 28, 2017 in the Military Bowl ... rushed for 84 yards on 9 carries and a TD against USF ... his 58-yard touchdown run against the Bulls was the longest run of his career ... carried the ball 5 times for 52 yards and a touchdown at Tulsa ... scored his first-career touchdown on a 19-yard run late in the fourth ... gained 16 yards on his first career carry ... caught his first collegiate pass on a 26-yard pass from slot back CJ Williams ... made his collegiate debut in the Mids’ season-opening win against Holy Cross.

• High School / Personal: A 2017 graduate of Bowling Green High School, Carothers attended the Naval Academy Prep School during the 2017-18 academic year ... two-sport athlete who earned letters in basketball (3) and football (4) ... named the 2016 Gatorade Player of the Year for Kentucky, while also being named the state’s Mr. Football by the Associated Press ... earned First-Team All-State (Ky.) honors as a senior ... enjoyed a stellar senior season, rushing for 1,410 yards and 27 touchdowns in leading Bowling Green to the Class 5-A state championship ... added another 884 yards and 11 scores on 45 receptions as the single back in a spread offense while propelling the Purples to a 15-0 mark ... during his four seasons, Bowling Green compiled a 55-3 record and won three state titles ... also graduated as the program’s all-time leader in rushing yards (3,921) and total points (514) ... also received offers from Army, Austin Peay and Eastern Michigan ... son of Byron Carothers and Oshkea Offutt ... majoring in quantitative economics.
