• 2021: Member of special teams (Punt, PAT/FG), he saw action in all 12 games ... started each of the last 3 contests at tackle ... made his collegiate debut in the opener against Marshall and made his first-collegiate start in the Mids’ Senior Day game against East Carolina ... also started the Temple game where he anchored an offensive unit that scored a season-high 38 points in the win over Temple ... the 38 points were the most by the Mids since they defeated Houston 56-41 on Nov. 30, 2019 ... it also marked the most points by Navy in the series since dealing Temple a 42-6 loss in Annapolis on Nov. 18, 2006 ... part of an offensive line that paved the way for Carlinos Acie to rush for 155 yards against East Carolina, the most by a Navy slot back since Shun White’s remarkable 348-yard game against Towson on Aug. 30, 2008 ... it also allowed Acie to score a 90-yard touchdown, the fifth-longest run in program history and the longest run since Malcolm Perry’s 92-yarder against SMU on Nov. 11, 2017.

• High School / Personal: A 2018 graduate of St. Mary’s High School, Romo attended the Naval Academy Prep School during the 2018-19 academic year ... two-sport athlete who earned letters in football (2) and track & field (2) ... recipient of the 2017 Don Gardner Award for his outstanding character, dedication and work ethic ... member of the St. Mary’s HS team that claimed the MIAA Championship his senior year ... member of the National Honor Society ... named to the Principals Honor Roll all four years at St. Mary’s HS ... grandfather, Leon “Red” Romo, played football at LSU ... Red Romo treated Navy all-time greats such as Roger Staubach, Joe Bellino and Napoleon McCallum during a remarkable 41-year tenure as Navy’s head athletic trainer ... he retired in 1997 and died two years later at the age of 78, but his memory lives on through an endowed scholarship created by son, Rusty ... son of James “Rusty” and Sharon Romo ... majoring in operations research.
