Biography

•    At Navy: Coming off a standout spring, Campbell is in a tight battle with Kenneth McShan for one of the starting outside linebacker jobs ... starter in 8 games during his career (8 Jr) ... came to Navy as a wide receiver before moving to safety and eventually outside linebacker ... has earned 2 varsity letters.

•    2024: Started 8 of the 13 games in which he played ... closed out the year with 58 tackles, including 5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks ... also broke up 4 passes had 1 interception and recovered a fumble ... recorded a solo tackle in Navy’s win over Oklahoma in the Armed Forces Bowl ... pitched in a pair of solo stops in the Mids’ win over Army ... turned in 4 tackles at East Carolina ... chipped in 2 solo tackles at USF ... posted 5 tackles, including half a tackle for loss, and broke up a pass at Rice ... also recovered a fumble, the first of his career, late in the 4th quarter ... contributed 4 tackles against #12 Notre Dame ... turned in 5 tackles and had a QB hurry in the Homecoming win over Charlotte ... named the AAC Defensive Player of the Week after posting 7 tackles, including 2 sacks for a loss of 18 yards in Navy’s win over Air Force ... had a key third-down sack in the 2nd quarter to force an Air Force punt and registered a sack for a 14-yard loss on 4th down in the 4th quarter to give possession back to Navy and set up the Mids’ final touchdown ... also broke up a pass ... led a defensive unit that limited Air Force to 7 points and 273 total yards ... the 7 points scored by Air Force were the fewest it has scored at home against Navy and the 27-point win was Navy’s largest margin of victory over Air Force since 1978 ... chipped in a pair of tackles at UAB, including a tackle for loss ... equaled his career high with 10 tackles, including 7 solo stops, against Memphis ... recorded 5 tackles, broke up a pass and made his first-career interception in Navy’s win over Temple in the AAC opener ... made his first-collegiate start in the Mids’ win over Bucknell in the season opener ... along with Colin Ramos, paced Navy with a career-best 10 tackles while also contributing 1.5 tackles for loss, a half a sack and a pass breakup.
