Biography

• At Navy: Was voted tri-captain by his teammates, which is the greatest honor a Navy athlete can receive ... was also named captain of all the varsity team captains at the Naval Academy by the team captains of the 35 varsity sports at the Naval Academy ... a starter in 15 games during his career (3 So // 12 Jr) ... enters the fall listed as the starter at right tackle ... originally came to Navy as a center ... has the versatility and footwork to play both positions ... will have the honor of wearing No. 68 this year in memory of David Forney ...  proud of the fact he leads all current offensive linemen with two career tackles from his days of being on the punt team ... has earned two varsity letters.

• 2021: The only Navy offensive lineman to start all 12 contests ... garnered All-East honors ... anchored an offensive unit that scored a season-high 38 points in the win over Temple ... the 38 points were the most by the Mids since they defeated Houston 56-41 on Nov. 30, 2019 ... it also marked the most points by Navy in the series since dealing Temple a 42-6 loss in Annapolis on Nov. 18, 2006 ... part of an offensive line that paved the way for Carlinos Acie to rush for 155 yards against East Carolina, the most by a Navy slot back since Shun White’s remarkable 348-yard game against Towson on Aug. 30, 2008 ... it also allowed Acie to score a 90-yard touchdown, the fifth-longest run in program history and the longest run since Malcolm Perry’s 92-yarder against SMU on Nov. 11, 2017 ... member of the Mids’ offensive line that paved the way for a 406-326 advantage in total offense against UCF, marking the first time this season Navy has outgained the opponent ... it also marked the first time since Oct. 31, 2020 against SMU that Navy has topped 400 yards of total offense ... the 348 yards rushing were the the most by Navy since gaining 395 yards on the ground against Army in 2019 ... after coming into the game just 5-for-10 in red zone scoring, Navy went 5-for-5 against UCF ... the Mids’ 26 first downs against the Knights were the most since recording 27 against SMU in 2020.

• 2020: A starter in 3 of the 9 games in which he played, he was also a member of the Mids’ punt team ... earned starting nods at tackle in each of the last 3 contests ... for the season, Navy averaged 275.0 yards of total offense, 177.6 yards on the ground and 97.4 yards through the air ... made his collegiate debut in the Mids’ opener against BYU ... made his first-collegiate start in the Mids’ home contest against Memphis ... also credited with a tackle against the Tigers on special teams ... assisted on a tackle against Houston.

• High School / Personal: A 2019 graduate of Houston High School, Frankland was a three-sport athlete who earned letters in football (4), lacrosse (1) and wrestling (2) ... served as captain of the football team his junior and senior years ... three-time All-Metro and All-Conference football selection ... earned All-State (Tenn.) honors his senior year ... son of Kerry and Golda Frankland ... majoring in quantitative economics.
