• High School / Personal: Graduated from Katy High School in December of 2013 and early-enrolled at Rutgers in the spring of 2014 ... sidelined his freshman year as a member of the Scarlet Knights’ football program after sustaining a foot injury ... played a key role in blocking up front to lead Katy High to a 15-1 record his senior year and advance to the UIL 5A D2 state championship game at AT&T Cowboys Stadium ... the team scored at least 51 points in five playoff victories ... his high school was ranked as high as No. 4 in the USA Today Sports Super 25 ... participated in the Semper Fi All-American Bowl as a tight end following his senior season ... game recognizes academic, leadership and athletic excellence ... part of National Sports News Service 2012 national championship team after going 16-0 as a junior ... won the UIL 5A D2 state championship game that season ... a graduate of Texas Tech, his father was a member of the track & field and cross country teams ... his brother, Andrew, graduated from Texas A&M in 2016 where he was a standout golfer ... son of Scott and Margaret Lister.
