- 2009-10 Game-by-Game Statistics JUNIOR (2011): Smith appeared in 11 games, all in a reserve role, averaging 0.5 ppg and 0.4 rpg in 1.5 minutes per game ... scored a season-high three points at Holy Cross on a three-point play ... added two points on an offensive rebound at Bucknell and added a steal against the Bison ... grabbed a rebound against Texas and also against Army in the Star Game ... made both of his field goal attempts on the season ... played season-best four minutes against both Texas and Bucknell. SOPHOMORE (2010): Smith joined the team in mid-December after dominating in junior varsity play ... appeared in 16 of the team's last 19 contests, starting with the Seton Hall game on Dec. 22 ... played over 10 minutes in a game twice, including 17 in Navy's final home game of the year against American (Feb. 24) ... a strong defensive player, Smith averaged a team-best 2.6 blocks per game per 40 minutes played ... tallied five points in just four minutes against Colgate (Jan. 30) ... both of his field goals came off offensive rebounds ... blocked two shots with two rebounds at Holy Cross in just five minutes ... netted four points in 10 minutes against Bucknell in the Patriot League opener ... both of his baskets against Bucknell came on nifty post moves. HIGH SCHOOL: A 2007 graduate of Wilson Magnet High School in Rochester, N.Y., Smith lettered twice in basketball and once in football ... was named the Gym Rats Classic Under-16 Tournament MVP after leading his team to an AAU Championship ... was a member of the 2006 Five-Star All-Star team and won the 2005 Five-Star Rebound Award ... was a Standard Bearer for two years and won a music scholarship for the Eastman School of Music ... was recognized as a Johns Hopkins University Talented Kid.
