• Did not see any varsity action
High School:
• Attended Newfield High School, where he lettered with the cross country, track and soccer teams
• Set school records on the track in the 800-meter run (1:55), 1,600-meter run (4:25) and 3,200-meter run (9:40)
• Two-time all-league selection in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track
• Helped the indoor track team to back-to-back league championships and outdoor track team to a league title in 2008
• Named the academic all-county team
• Member of the National Honor Society
