Biography

Fall 2004:
Played in all four tournaments, as well as Navy[apos]s Star Meet against Army ... defeated Army[apos]s Jimmy Fisher to post a 3 & 2 singles win ... turned in two top-10 finishes, including an eighth-place mark at the Bucknell Invitational ... shot an 11-over par 151 in the season finale ... placed ninth at the Service Academy Classic in Fort Worth with a nine-over par 225 ... finished the fall with a 75.67 stroke average.

Fall 2003 - Spring 2004:
Produced a 78.46 stroke average for the year ... competed in 26 rounds among 10 tournaments ... began and ended the fall season with strong performances ... produced a 76.90 stroke average, the third-best average on the team ... opened the year by leading the Navy Gold team with a 12th-place mark ... shot a 2-over par 144 and was the Mids[apos] second-best golfer in the tourney ... placed 78th at the Mason Rudolph Collegiate with a 16-over par 158 in a field which featured nine NCAA Tournament teams from a year ago ... teamed up with B.J. Brumley to claim the doubles point, 4&3, in the Army-Navy meet ... turned in a 20-over par 233 to finish tied for 56th at the Mission Inn Collegiate Classic ... played his final meet of the season at the Service Academy Classic in Fort Worth, where he posted an 18-over par 234 to place 19th ... faltered a bit in the spring, as his stroke average dropped nearly three points ... his best finish was at the Patriot League Championship in which he placed 26th with a 30-over par 246 ... he finished off the season with a 10-over par 226 which was good for 51st place.

Fall 2002 - Spring 2003:
Posted an 81.6 stroke average over the course of four tournaments ... placed tied for 40th in the opener, the Navy Fall Invitational ... his best tournament of the year, he turned in a 12-over par 154, shooting his low round of the year in the first round, a 75 (+4) ... posted a season-best finish at the Service Academy Classic with a 27-over par 243, placing 21st ... paired with Billy Hurley to win the doubles point, 3&1, over arch rival Army ... played in three tournaments, posting an 83.00 spring stroke average ... finished tied for 67th at the Treasure Coast Classic with a two-round 164 (+20) ... turned in a 25-over par 165 to place 95th at the Navy Spring Invitational ... helped lead the Mids to the Patriot League crown with his 39th-place finish with a three-round mark of 252 (+36).

Fall 2001 - Spring 2002:
Did not compete in any varsity fall meets ... saw action in three meets during the spring and progressively improved ... opened the spring with a 70th-place finish (162, +18) at the Treasure Coast Classic ... placed 56th (167, +25) at the Navy Spring Invitational as a member of the Navy 'Gold' squad ... produced a 16-over par 158 to place 33rd in the season finale at the Scotty Duncan Memorial.

Personal:
A four-year letterwinner in soccer and three years in golf at Central High School ... two-time district champion ([apos]99 and [apos]00) ... produced a second-place finish in the city championship in [apos]00 and third in [apos]99 ... finished second in the district and third in the city tournament in [apos]98 ... led Central to district golf championships from 1998-2000 with a combined 48-12 record ... also directed the soccer team to district championships as a prep ... earned all-city and all-metro soccer recognition his junior and senior years ... also served as team captain those years ... a member of the National Honor Society ... majoring in English ... service selected Marine naval flight officer ... son of William Mashburn and Pegg Ratts ... born Feb. 1, 1983.
