Before Navy:
• 2011 Academic All-America honoree
• 2010 Georgia state champion in the all-around, helping the Cobb Challengers to the state championship
• Named MVP of the Cobb Challengers in 2010
• Member of the Region VIII in 2011 and Georgia state team from 2008-11
• Attended Hillgrove High School where he also earned two varsity letters in lacrosse

Personal:
• Parents were both student-athletes as his father, Daniel, ran track and cross country at the University of New Hampshire and mother, Lauren Wood-Viscardi, swam at the University of New Hampshire
