2025 // Junior Year
• Appeared in 10 contests, primarily as a member of the Mids’ man-down unit
• Navy’s defensive unit stood #30 nationally and #4 in the Patriot League in scoring defense (10.60)
• Recorded a caused turnover at Bucknell, his 1st takeaway since his plebe year, and grabbed a ground ball
• Member of a defensive unit that held Lafayette to single digits for just the 2nd time this season and its 2nd-fewest goals of the season in a 14-8 Navy victory ... the Mids held Riley Sullivan, the nation’s #2 point producer (6.67) and #1 assist distributor (3.89) to just ONE point (G) in the contest
• Made his season debut in the Mids’ 22-9 victory over Iona where he picked up his 1st-career ground ball

2024 // Sophomore Year
• Saw action in 6 games over the course of the season ... missed 3 games (Lehigh, Johns Hopkins, Villanova) due to injury
• Moved back and forth between close defense and short-stick defensive midfield
• He was part of a unit that was ranked 24th nationally and led the Patriot League in scoring defense (10.75) ... the Mids held 7 of their 16 opponents to single digits (Mount St. Mary’s, Hofstra, Boston U., Johns Hopkins, Holy Cross, Colgate, Lafayette)
• Part of a defensive effort that held Holy Cross scoreless for 23:19 (2nd-4th Qtr), the longest scoring drought by a Navy opponent this season ... during that time, Navy went on a 7-0 run to extend a 1-goal lead (5-4) to an 8-goal advantage (12-4)

2023 // Freshman Year
• Made appearances in a pair of games, including making his collegiate debut in the Mids’ win over Queens
• Navy’s defense is now 65-1 since 2003 (7-0 under Amplo) when holding an opponent to 5 or fewer goals after defeating Queens 19-5 ... the Mids held the Royals scoreless for the first 34 minutes of the contest before allowing a goal ... recorded his first-career caused turnover in his first-career game

High School 
• 2022 graduate of McDonogh School in Owings Mills, Md.
• Three-sport athlete who lettered in football (4), lacrosse (4) and wrestling (4)
• Served as team captain of the lacrosse team his senior year
• Placed eighth in the Maryland Wrestling State Championship as a freshman and sophomore
• Led McDonogh to the MIAA Championship his senior year

• Son of Hans Hurdle and Cindy Cootauco
• His service assignment is Marine Corps Ground
• Majoring in Quantitative Economics, he has earned mention on the Commandant’s (F2025) List
• Father, Hans, is a 1985 graduate of Swarthmore where he was a two-time (1984, ‘85) All-American and league MVP on the lacrosse team
• Brother, Andrew, is a 2022 graduate of UMBC where he was a four-year member of the lacrosse team (M)
• Brother, Austin, is a 2019 graduate of Dickinson College where he was a four-year member of the lacrosse team (FO)
• Brother, Alex, is a 2018 graduate of Notre Dame where he was a four-year member of the lacrosse team (D)
