Alexander in 2020 (Sr.): Selected to wear jersey #40 in honor of fallen Navy SEAL and former Navy lacrosse player Lt. Brendan Looney, who was killed in Afghanistan on Sept. 21, 2010.
2019 (Jr.): The 2019 recipient of the Willis P. Bilderback Award, presented to Navy’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player ... one of Navy’s top two short-stick defensive midfielders, Alexander saw action in 13 games where he posted 24 ground balls, 7 caused turnovers and scored his first collegiate goal ... Navy’s defense held Army to just 2 second-half goals, while the Mids outscored the Black Knights 5-2 over the final 30 minutes to force overtime ... part of a defensive unit that held Colgate scoreless over the final 18:46, as Navy rallied from two goals down in the fourth quarter to win 16-11 ... played perhaps his best game in a Navy uniform in the Colgate victory ... set the tone by picking up the ground ball on the opening faceoff and punching in his first career goal just 11 seconds into the game ... also turned in a career-best 4 ground balls and forced a turnover ... held senior middie Duncan Hoskinson scoreless on 6v6 (scored on extra-man) ... turned in a pair of takeaways at Holy Cross ... matched his career best with 3 ground balls and a caused turnover at #9 Loyola ... part of a strong defensive effort by the Mids against Lafayette that saw the Mids keep the Leopards off the scoreboard for 21:53 (1:12 1Qtr - 9:19 3Qtr) ... Navy’s defense allowed just two even-strength goals in the first 45 minutes of its Patriot League opener against Bucknell, while giving up three extra-man goals over that same timeframe. For the game, the Bison scored five 6-on-6 goals and three extra-man strikes ... Navy’s defense held UMBC to just 3 goals over the final 3 quarters and scoreless in the fourth ... contributed a career-high 3 ground balls against UMBC ... part of a defensive unit that held Vermont to 4 goals in the first 50 minutes of action in the opener ... recorded his first career caused turnover and ground ball against Vermont.
2018 (So.): Moved from offensive middie to faceoff specialist spring ... won 3 of the 5 draws he took against Lafayette ... called upon to fill a void at faceoff in the opener at Jacksonville ... took eight draws.
2017 (Fr.): Made his collegiate debut in the Mids’ contest at Loyola where he was a member of Navy’s second midfield ... also played against Holy Cross during the regular season.
