• Father, Michael, was a four-year starter at nose guard for the Wake Forest football team (1987-90) and was the 1990 recipient of the Bill Award given annually to Wake Forest’s standout lineman in honor of the school’s first All-American
• High school teammate of Jack Sweeney, who is a junior attackman on the Navy lacrosse team
