• A starter in 33 (2 Fr // 16 So / 15 Jr) of the 37 games in which he has played during his career, including each of the last 30
• With 378 saves, he ranks 12th on Navy’s all-time saves list and trails 11th-place Matt Russell (380 / 2003-06) by just a pair of stops
• He is 22 saves shy of becoming the 11th player in school history to reach 400-career saves
2025 // Junior Year
• Started all 15 contests for the Mids in goal where he finished the year with a 10.44 goals-against average and a 52.5 save percentage ... he was 29th nationally in goals-against average and 33rd in save percentage
• With a 10-save performance against Lafayette in the Patriot League Quarterfinals, he joined Navy’s single-season top-20 saves list ... closed out the year with 165 saves to tie for 18th on the list alongside Jeff Johnson (1979) ... he is 1 of 8 players in program history to appear on Navy’s single-season saves chart at least twice (191 svs in 2024 / #6)
• Produced 13 saves against Loyola, including 5 and 4 in the middle quarters
• Despite missing the entire week of practice due to the flu, had a strong showing against #5 Army where he made 15 saves and helped hold the Black Knights to under 13 goals for just the 3rd time this season
• Garnered Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Weeks honors by spearheading a defensive effort that held Lafayette to single digits for just the 2nd time this season and its 2nd-fewest goals of the season in a 14-8 Navy victory ... Navy held Riley Sullivan, the nation’s #2 point producer (6.67) and #1 assist distributor (3.89) to just ONE point (G) in the contest
• Turned in 17 saves against the Leopards
• Recorded 18 saves while allowing 11 goals in the Mids’ 14-9 loss at Colgate ... also recorded a career-best 2 caused turnovers
• Part of a Navy defense that held Le Moyne scoreless for nearly 30 minutes (29:29) between the 2nd (1:07) and 4th (1:38) quarters ... the Mids forced 9 the Le Moyne’s 21 turnovers in the 3rd quarter when the Dolphins were just 5 for 11 clearing the ball
• Turned in 8 saves while allowing 12 goals in Navy’s loss to #11 Johns Hopkins
• Orchestrated a defensive effort that held #20 Boston U. scoreless for the first 21:34 of the game and then another 19:45 between the 2nd and 3rd quarters to allow the Mids to build an 11-1 lead ... it was the first time since Navy’s 16-9 win over Boston U. last March (16 gms) that the Terriers did not score a goal in any quarter
• Recorded 7 saves against the Terriers, while also posting a career-high 6 ground balls and causing a turnover
• Made a career-high 20 saves in the Mids’ 13-7 loss at #10 Penn State ... it’s the most saves by a Navy goalkeeper since Pat Ryan had 23 stops against Loyola on April 7, 2023 ... the Nittany Lions scored 5 extra-man goals, as Daly allowed just 8 even-strength goals
• Behind a 13-save performance in the win over #18 Towson, he joined Navy’s top-20 career saves leader board ... anchored a defensive unit that held Towson to just 3 goals in the 2nd half ... held the Tigers scoreless for nearly 22 minutes between the 3rd and 4th quarters
• Earned Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week honors for the first time in his career following a 12-save performance at High Point in the opener ... helped orchestrate defensive stands that held High Point scoreless over 3 long periods in the game - 0 goals for 14:53 (2nd/3rd Qtr), 0 goals for 10:52 (3rd/4th Qtr), 0 goals 11:01 (4th Qtr)
• Also made a spectacular play on a clear ... as a pair of High Point players converged on Daly, he flipped the ball over his shoulder to an open AJ Marsh who turned and punched in a goal ... it was the first time a Navy netminder has been credited with an assist since 2021 Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year Spencer Rees had an assist against Bucknell on March 28, 2021
2024 // Sophomore Year
• Garnered Second-Team All-Patriot League recognition in his first year as the Mids’ starting goalkeeper
• Navy’s starting goalkeeper in all 16 contests, he ranked #23 nationally / #1 in the Patriot League in goals-against average (10.69), #25 / 2 in save % (53.5) and #30 / 4 in saves per game (11.94)
• As a unit, Navy was ranked 24th nationally and led the Patriot League in scoring defense (10.75) ... the Mids held 7 of their 16 opponents to single digits (Mount St. Mary’s, Hofstra, Boston U., Johns Hopkins, Holy Cross, Colgate, Lafayette)
• Closed out the season with 191 saves, the 6th most in Navy history and the most by a Navy goalkeeper since Mickey Jarboe won the Kelly Award in 1999 and posted 215 saves ... he is 1 of only 2 goalkeepers to rank among Navy’s top 10 list since 2000
• Daly broke Navy postseason records for most saves in a Patriot League Tournament game (18 vs. Loyola) and most saves for the entire tournament (25 vs. Loyola and Lehigh) ... Matt Russell previously held both records 12 in a game (Colgate, 4.30.04) and 21 in a tournament (Colgate and Hobart in 2004)
• Turned in 7 saves and allowed 12 goals in 59 minutes of action against Lehigh in the Patriot League Semifinals
• Played his best game to date, making a career-high 18 saves, including 6 stops in the 4th quarter in the Patriot League Quarterfinals win over Loyola ... collectively, Navy’s defense held Loyola scoreless for 22:58 between the 3rd (13:03) and 4th (5:05) quarters ... it allowed Navy to go on a 3-0 run and take the lead for good
• Produced 14 saves in the Mids’ overtime win over Bucknell, including a huge stop in overtime on a 12-yard wide-open shot by Hans Huber
• Recorded 12 saves and allowed 12 goals against Loyola
• Led a Navy defense that held #12 Army scoreless for 27:27, including the entire 3rd quarter, allowing the Mids to go on a 5-0 run and tie the game early in the 4th quarter
• Turned in 14 saves against the Black Knights
• Led a Navy defensive effort that held Lafayette to single digits for the 22nd time in the 25-game series history
• Navy’s defensive unit held #17 Colgate to just 2 goals over nearly a 30-minute stretch (8:06 1Qtr - 8:26 4Qtr), allowing Navy to overcome an early 4-0 deficit and eventual 10-9 win ... the Mids held Colgate, who came into the game averaging 13.00 goals per game, to single digits (9) for just the 2nd time (Villanova) this season
• Produced 15 saves against the Raiders, including 10 in the opening half
• Made 7 saves and allowed 5 goals in nearly 50 minutes of action against Holy Cross before handing over the duties to seniors Gabe Craven and Andrew Calabrese
• Part of a defensive effort that held Holy Cross scoreless for 23:19 (2nd-4th Qtr), the longest scoring drought by a Navy opponent this season ... during that time, Navy went on a 7-0 run to extend a 1-goal lead (5-4) to an 8-goal advantage (12-4)
• Turned in 15 saves in the Mids’ loss to Villanova
• Helped spearhead a Navy defense that held #8 Johns Hopkins to single digits for the first time this season (avg. 13.00) ... also held the Blue Jays to just 3 goals over the final 48-plus minutes, including forcing scoring droughts of 22:41 between the 1st and 3rd quarters and 19:21 between the 3rd and 4th quarters
• Made 12 saves against the Blue Jays, including 5 stops in the 4th frame
• Turned in 10 saves while yielding 12 goals to Lehigh
• Recorded 14 saves at Boston U. where he allowed 9 goals ... game up with one of the biggest saves of his career with 2 seconds remaining in the opening half, stopping a point-blank shot by Brenden Kelly and securing the Mids’ 1-goal lead at the break
• Navy’s defense held BU scoreless for nearly 22 minutes between the 2nd (3:33) and 4th (11:44) quarters, while Navy went on a 5-0 run and built a 6-goal advantage (12-6) ... the Mids contained the high-powered offense that entered the game averaging 13.5 goals per game
• Recorded a 14 saves, while allowing 13 goals against #12 Penn State
• Allowed 17 goals while making 10 saves in the loss at Towson
• Part of a defensive unit that held Hofstra scoreless for over 19 minutes between the 1st and 3rd quarters, allowing Navy to put together a 6-0 run and hold an 8-2 halftime lead and eventual 16-8 win
• Made 12 saves and allowed 6 goals against the Pride
• Making his 3rd-career start, he made 7 saves and allowed 4 goals in 45 minutes of action against Mount St. Mary’s in the opener ... also grabbed a career-high 5 ground balls
2023 // Freshman Year
• Played in 6 games, including earning a pair of starts
• Finished the year with an 11.73 goals-against average and 44.9 save percentage in 138 minutes of action
• Played the final 3 minutes at Villanova where he made a save
• Earned the start in the Mids’ road loss at Colgate where he allowed 9 goals and made 3 saves in just under 21 minutes of play
• Made 4 saves and allowed 5 goals in 30 minutes of action against Manhattan
• Played the second half of the Hofstra game where he made a career-high 6 saves and allowed 8 goals
• Made his first-collegiate start in the win over Queens where he made 5 saves and held the Royals scoreless in just under 24 minutes of action
• Made his collegiate debut against Mount St. Mary’s in the opener ... played the second half where he made 3 stops and allowed 5 goals
High School
• 2021 graduate of Wayne Hills High School in Wayne, N.J.
• Two-sport athlete who earned letters in football (3) and lacrosse (4)
• A four-star recruit, he was ranked #65 among the Inside Lacrosse / EVOShield Power 100 Freshman Rankings
• Named a US Lacrosse All-American, the New Jersey Goalkeeper of the Year and Division Player of the Year as a senior
• He broke the Wayne Hills HS career saves record as just a sophomore and finished with 504 saves
• Served as captain of the lacrosse team as a junior and senior
• 2021 Mini Max Award winner from the Maxwell Football Club
• Broke the Wayne Hills HS record for career tackles (243, 31 gms) ... previous record was 242 tackles in 36 games set in 2018 by Jason Modak
• Named the Passaic County Student-Athlete of the Year as a senior
• Led Wayne Hills HS to the Passaic County title in lacrosse as a freshman and sophomore
