Biography

• A starter in 25 (5 Fr // 15 So // 6 Jr) of the 29 games in which he has played during his career
• Has produced points in 21 of the 29 games in which he has played (Mount St. Mary’s, Loyola (5.4) ‘21 / Lehigh ‘22 / Mount St. Mary’s, Queens, Manhattan, Lafayette, Loyola ‘23) and goals in 17 of the 29 contests

2023 // Junior Year
• A starter in 5 of the 9 games in which he appeared ... scored 5 goals on the year
• Punched in a goal and picked up a pair of ground balls in the win over Bucknell
• Scored Navy’s first goal of the game against #9 Army, his first since his injury against High Point
• After missing 7-consecutive  games due to injury, he saw limited action against Lafayette as a member of the Mids’ extra-man unit
• Punched in a pair of first-quarter goals at High Point
• Scored his first goal of 2023 in the Mids’ win at Hofstra
• Saw his 9-game point-scoring streak, 4-game goal scoring streak and 3-game assist streak come to an end in the opener against Mount St. Mary’s where he was held without a point

2022 // Sophomore Year
• A starter in all 15 contests where he closed out the season tied with co-captain Nick Cole as the team’s second-leading scorer with 38 points on 21 goals and 17 assists
• His 38 points are tied for the sixth most in program history by a midfielder for a single season
• With his 4-point (1G, 3A) performance against #6 Army, he became the program’s 18th  midfielder to post 30 points in a season
• Reached 30 points the same game fellow middie Patrick Skalniak eclipsed 40 with his 3-goal effort against the Black Knights ... Max Hewitt also added his name to the list when he reached 30 points in the season finale with a 3-point effort against Lehigh ... it’s the first time in the program’s history that it has produced three 30-point scorers out of the midfield in the same season (Skalniak 28-20=48 / Swanson 21-17=38 / Hewitt 20-12=32)
• Produced a goal and an assist, while grabbing a career-high 4 ground balls against Lehigh in the Patriot League Quarterfinals
• Tallied 3 points on 2 goals and an assist in the Mids’ 13-6 win over Bucknell
• Recorded his third hat trick of the season with his 3-goal performance at Lafayette ... sparked Navy’s 4-0 run to start the game, scoring the first 2 goals
• Dealt out an assist on Max Hewitt’s second goal of the day against Loyola
• Punched in a pair of goals and caused a turnover in the Mids’ loss to No. 14 Boston U.
• Contributed an assist in the Mids’ league win over Holy Cross
• Dealt out the assist on Max Hewitt’s game-winning goal against #18 Johns Hopkins
• Recorded a career-high tying 5 points on 2 goals and a career-best 3 assists in the come-from-behind victory over Colgate ... missed his first 8 shots before drilling the final 2 goals of a 5-goal run by Navy ... his first goal was the go-ahead goal for Navy, while the second clinched the win after the Raiders scored with 12.3 seconds left to close to within one
• Had his 5-game point and assist streaks snapped by Lehigh in the Patriot League opener ... led the team with 8 shots and grabbed a pair of ground balls
• Posted 2 goals and an assist in the Mids’ one-goal loss to High Point ... also grabbed a pair of ground balls and caused a turnover
• Scored a goal and added an assist in the Mids’ win against Manhattan
• Alongside Patrick Skalniak, paced the Mids with a 5-point performance in the win at Hofstra where he scored a career-high 4 goals and added an assist ... also recorded his first-career caused turnover
• Dealt out an assist and grabbed 3 ground balls in the win over Mercer
• Turned in his second-career hat trick with a 3-goal, 2-assist performance against Mount St. Mary’s in the opener

2021 // Freshman Year
• A starter in all 5 contests in which he played, he produced 8 points on 5 goals and 3 assists
• Missed 3 games after breaking his foot in the opener against Mount St. Mary’s
• Tallied a goal in Navy’s win over #10 Army
• Turned in a career-high 4 points that featured his first-collegiate hat trick and an assist in the Mids’ win at #15 Loyola (4.17) ... among his 3 goals was his first-career extra-man goal
• Made his long-awaited return to the competition field on April 10 at Lehigh where he turned in 3 points on a goal and a pair of assists ... it marked the first points of his career
• A starter in the Mids’ opener against Mount St. Mary’s where he got off a pair of shots and grabbed a ground ball before leaving the game with a broken foot

• Ranked #25 overall and #5 among midfielders on the Inside Lacrosse Power 100 Incoming Recruits
• Earned a 4-star recruit rating by Inside Lacrosse
• Among the more than 100 players invited to try out for the 2020 U.S. U19 Men’s Team and made it to the round of 50
• Two-time (2018, ‘19) Under Armour Underclass All-American
• Garnered All-MIAA and Peace Report All-Metro honors as a junior
• Served as the lacrosse team captain his senior year
• Drew interest from and took recruiting visits to Air Force, Harvard, Johns Hopkins, Loyola, North Carolina, Ohio State and Princeton
