• Attended St. Joseph High School in Trumbull, Conn. as a freshman and sophomore before transferring to Amity Regional HS prior to his junior year, enabling him to play sports alongside younger brother Patrick
• Two-sport athlete who earned letters in football (3 / 2 at St. Joseph, 1 at Amity Regional) and lacrosse (4 / 2 at both schools)
• Two-time (2021, ‘22) All-State (Conn.) and First-Team All-Southern Connecticut Conference (SCC) lacrosse standout at Amity Regional HS
• Named the SCC Conference Player of the Year as a junior ... scored 58 goals and dealt out 29 assists
• Also named an Under Armour All-American and a Nike National All-Star as a junior
• Also a standout football player who garnered First-Team All-State, First-Team All-SCC and was named the SCC Player of the year his senior year
• Set the Connecticut state record with the most interceptions returned for touchdowns in a single season his senior year
• Served as captain of the football team his senior year
• Led St. Joseph HS to the Class S State Championship in lacrosse his freshman year, the Class M State Championship in football his freshman year and the Class L State Championship in football his sophomore year
• Led Amity Regional HS to the SCC Div. 2 Championship in lacrosse his junior year
• Member of the National Honor Society

• Father, John, is a 1993 graduate of Columbia where he was a four-year member of the football team
• Uncle, Steve Coughlin, is a graduate of Stanford where he was a four-year member (tight end) of the football team ... he is known to sports fans as Stanford Steve and served as a SportsCenter commentator and segment producer on the midnight SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt
