2021 // Junior Year
• Played in 5 of the Mids’ 9 contests
• Navy’s defensive unit closed out the year ranked #11 in the country and #3 in the Patriot League in scoring defense (10.00) and #23 nationally (#2 in the PL) in man-down defense (20 of 29, 69.0) ... the Mids were also #10 in the Patriot League and #2 in the PL in clearing percentage (88.5)
• Turned in 3 ground balls and a takeaway against Loyola (4.3)
• Part of a Navy defense that held Bucknell scoreless for better than 10 minutes as the Mids went on a 5-0 run and broke a 6-6 tie in the third quarter to take the lead for good
• Navy’s defense held Jacksonville scoreless for nearly 25 minutes (24:19) as the Mids went on a 9-0 run in the second and third quarters
• After giving up 5 goals over the first 23:11, Navy’s defense held the Dolphins to a single goal over the final 36:49
• Part of a defensive unit that held Mount St. Mary’s scoreless for the first 37-plus minutes of the game, while Navy jumped out to a 7-0 lead ... the Mids gave up just 3 even-strength goals in the 8-5 win

2020 // Sophomore Year
• Part of a defensive unit that finished the shortened 2020 campaign ranked #11 nationally in both scoring defense (9.40) and man-down defense (11-14, 78.6)
• Navy’s defensive unit held Furman without a goal for 51:44, the longest it has held an opponent scoreless since 3.3.09, when it held Mount St. Mary’s off the board for 53:04 in a 6-2 win
• The 3 goals scored by Furman were the fewest goals Navy has given up since defeating Sacred Heart, 7-1, on 4.22.16 ... the Paladins also got off just 16 shots, including 7 on goal
• Played a pivotal role on the faceoff wings that helped Navy win 22 of the 26 draws against the Paladins ... grabbed a career-best 4 ground balls
• The defense held Manhattan to 4 goals against in the opener ... the Jaspers also got off just 27 shots
• One of 8 Navy players to record a caused turnover in the opener against Manhattan ... it was his first career takeaway

2019 // Freshman Year
• Saw action in 3 contests, including making his collegiate debut in the Mids’ win over UMBC
• Recorded a ground ball, the first of his career, in the 13-12 victory over #16 Boston U.
• Navy’s defense held UMBC to just 3 goals over the final 3 quarters and scoreless in the fourth

High School
• 2018 graduate of Winston Churchill High School in Potomac, Md.
• Two-sport athlete who earned letters in football (2) and lacrosse (4)
• First-team all-division and all-county lacrosse selection his senior year
• Named the 2018 Montgomery County Player of the Year and was a Kelly Award finalist
• Served three years as captain of the lacrosse team
• Received Academic All-America laurels in high school

• Son of David and Laura Rubino
• His service assignment is Navy Pilot
• Majoring in Quantitative Economics, he owns a 3.65 grade-point average
• Has earned Commandant’s (F2018, S2019, F2019, S2020, S2021, F2021) and Dean’s (S2019, F2019, S2020, F2021) List accolades multiple times, while also being named to the Superintendent’s (F2018) List
• Stands #319 in Overall Order of Merit among the Class of 2022 (1,121 students) ... ranked #283 in Academic Order of Merit and #451 in Military Order of Merit
• Also considered Dartmouth, Maryland, Penn State and Princeton
• Father, David, is a 1990 graduate of Georgetown and was a member of the football team
• Mother, Laura, was a member of the track & field team at Catholic University before transferring to Syracuse where she graduated in 1992
