2020 // Junior Year
• Part of a defensive unit that finished the shortened 2020 campaign ranked #11 nationally in both scoring defense (9.40) and man-down defense (11-14, 78.6)
• Recorded the first two caused turnovers of his career at Richmond
• Navy’s defensive unit held Furman without a goal for 51:44, the longest it has held an opponent scoreless since 3.3.09, when it held Mount St. Mary’s off the board for 53:04 in a 6-2 win.
• The 3 goals scored by Furman were the fewest goals Navy has given up since defeating Sacred Heart, 7-1, on 4.22.16 ... the Paladins also got off just 16 shots, including 7 on goal.
• The defense held Manhattan to 4 goals against in the opener ... the Jaspers also got off just 27 shots

2019 // Sophomore Year
• Appeared in 4 contests, including 2 Patriot League games
• Made the move to defensive midfield from offensive midfield midway through the season

2018 // Freshman Year
• Member of the Mids’ second midfield to start the Syracuse game, he was forced to play with the starters in the second half due to an injury suffered by Casey Rees
• Scored his first collegiate point in epic fashion, feeding teammate Jack Ray for the game-tying goal against the Orange
• Made his first career appearance in the Mids’ 15-5 win over Lafayette

High School
• 2016 graduate of Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, N.J.
• Attended The Hun School of Princeton during the 2016-17 academic year
• Two-sport athlete who earned letters in basketball and lacrosse
• Named a US Lacrosse All-American and earned First-Team All-Shore Conference honors as a senior
• Named First-Team All-MAPL and First-Team All-State New Jersey Prep
• Led the conference in assists per game in basketball his senior year
• Led the basketball team to the 2015 Non-Public A State Sectional Championship
• Served as captain of both the basketball and lacrosse teams his senior year
• Member of the National Honor Society

• Majoring in Quantitative Economics, he owns a 3.50 grade-point average
• Has earned Commandant’s (F2017, S2018, F2018, S2019, S2020, F2020) and Dean’s (F2018, S2019, F2019, S2020) List accolades multiple times, while also being named to the Superintendent’s (F2017) List
• Stands #370 in Overall Order of Merit, #392 in Academic Order of Merit and #288 in Military Order of Merit among the Class of 2021 (1,116 students)
• Uncle, Gregory Shinnick, is a 1987 graduate of the Naval Academy
• Cousin, Jack Shinnick, is a 2013 graduate of the Naval Academy and was a member of the squash team
