2025 // Sophomore Year
• Appeared in 5 contests, including earning his 1st-collegiate start (Lehigh) ... finished the year with 3 points on a goal and a pair of assists
• Dealt out just his 2nd-career assist on Mac Haley’s goal at Holy Cross that gave the Mids the lead (6-5) for the 1st time in the contest
• Part of an offense that scored 22 goals against Iona, including 10 in the opening quarter ... it’s the first time Navy has scored 20 goals since defeating VMI 21-7 on Feb. 8, 2015 and it’s the most goals scored  by the Midshipmen since they defeated Holy Cross 23-5 on April 18, 2004
• Made his 1st appearance of the season against the Gaels where he was one of 9 players to score their 1st-collegiate goal ... also dealt out an assist

2024 // Freshman Year
• Appeared in each of the first-two contests, including making his collegiate debut in the Mids’ opener against Mount St. Mary’s

High School 
• 2022 graduate of Chaminade High School in Mineola, N.Y.
• Two-sport athlete who earned letters in lacrosse (4) and football (2)
• Member of the Chaminade football team that captured the NYCHSFL AA1 Championship his sophomore year
• Member of the National Honor Society

• Son of James and Diane Byrnes
• Majoring in English
• Attended the Naval Academy Prep School during the 2022-23 academic year where he was the captain of the lacrosse team
• Originally committed to Sacred Heart
• Father, James, is a graduate of St. John’s where he was a member of the football team (1987-89) and was a two-time All-Liberty Conference center
