Rogers in 2012 (Jr.): Navy boasted the nation[apos]s 14th-best scoring defense, surrendering 8.92 goals per game ... was among the starting lineup in Navy[apos]s Star Game against Army ... grabbed his first ground ball of the 2012 season vs. Holy Cross ... made his season debut as a member of the Mids[apos] starting defensive line at Lafayette.

2011 (So.): A starter at close defense in all 13 contests ... member of Navy[apos]s man-down unit that has squelched 27 of its opponents[apos] 40 attempts (.675) ... tied for second on the team in takeaways with 11 on the year ... grabbed a career-high four ground balls and posted one takeaway against Army ... played perhaps his strongest defensive game in a Navy uniform when the Mids faced Georgetown ... held the nation[apos]s No. 1 goal scorer Davey Emala to just one goal and one assist ... Emala scored the game[apos]s first goal and was held without a goal for the remaining 50 minutes of the game ... Emala came into the game averaging 3.29 goals per game (1st) and 3.86 points per game (10th) ... against the Hoyas, he fed Pat Kiernan with 24 seconds left to put the Mids within one goal ... it was his first collegiate assist ... also contributed a ground ball and a takeaway ... paced Navy with three caused turnovers in its Patriot League opener against Lehigh ... also grabbed a pair of ground balls ... along with fellow close defenseman Michael Hirsch, led Navy with two takeaways against Loyola, while also grabbing three grounders ... earned the start in what was his first-collegiate appearance in a game on Feb. 12 in the Mids[apos] opener against VMI ... picked up three ground balls and forced a team-best four turnovers.
